FPSs make me crazy. Liberty on the arc, 13-13, 2.5 sec to. Hits the pipe....gotta make FPSs.
OT
2OT
Jacksonville with a FPS, 1.8 sec to go in OT...good hash,
Sails it over the cage.
J'ville on a really sweet twizzler shot.

Re: Live Game Action
Keep in mind the best teams convert just north of 50% of FPS shots. Hitting the pipe can be viewed as bad luck or a sign of a great shooter. The Jacksonville miss over the cage is a good example of why FPSs are no guarantee. Defenses are quick, crashing down, playing the stick, and deflecting shots.
Re: Live Game Action
I'll never understand it, in my mind shooters should be at 70+% (and I'm being conservative) on FPSs.
It's a me thing, have no feel for it but I can't put myself on that line and figure I'll only put it past the GK five out of ten times....there's too much net there.
Not seeing how hitting the pipe is a sign of a good shooter, good shooter hits the net.

Re: Live Game Action
that was a great defensive stand for MD at the end of the first quarter, was happy to see the D back up Sterling's save on that FPS.
In the case of shooting space vs dangerous shot, that's a call I don't envy having to make.

Binghamton 11 Albany 11 with12:30 to go in 4th. Back and forth battle. Bing just scored 4 in a row to tie them. Bing is 0-23 against Albany.
Re: Live Game Action
When it was 11-7 Albany I thought it was over. Credit to Binghamton for continuing to fight. Fantastic game especially for the early morning crowd on ESPNU.
Switching from that game to the noon games is such a change in production quality.

Penn beats Yale for the Ivy League Championship 14-13 in OT. Will Yale get a spot in the NCAA’s?
Re: Live Game Action
Agreed. There is no way they should be making the tournament.
Re: Live Game Action
Navy with the 2nd worst loss of bubble teams to BU 60
Penn State with the best win of the bubble with win over MD but a loss to #61 Vanderbilt.
Strength of schedule for some teams considered as locks is very very interesting.
Drexel: 46
Marquette: 39
Umass: 54
Going to be an interesting bracket!

JMU beats Maryland, UVA, Florida, Hopkins, Rutgers and several other really good teams and ppl say thay are not as good as their rating, crazy. Peterson is the real deal and most definitely a top 5 Tewaaraton finalist. She is a matchup nightmare. Lets see what happens down the stretch. Go Dukes!

Re: Live Game Action
Wondering if there is a probable “last 4 out” (like basketball)published somewhere ?
Watched UConn Penn game and UConn was not worthy of a spot. Three teams from BEast? They were over matched in every aspect of the game. If not for their goalie who had a magical day in the cage, it would have been running clock at half. Every year the Huskies get in and get handled, same old story.
Interesting to see if one of the last 4 out would have brought a competitive march up. Yale played a much better game vs.UPenn in Ivy championship.
