Nice win for Roanoke on the road last night. RMC is a solid team. I think that RMC is going to get better in the years to come. The new facility they have in really nice and will be a draw to recruits.

On to the semifinals -
Lynchburg vs Noke
HSC vs W&L

Ferrum and Randolph should be an annual cup/bowl game, I'm thinking about something like a trophy that the winner takes home every year they win.

Thoughts?

Last time LYN played NOKE without Zingo who has concussion.
With him back the defense is cohesive, will press all over field and won’t let them back in game.

W&L has to play HSC after LYN stung them.. They will be in the right frame of mind tomorrow and roll HSC

Man, you sure seem to forget what happens when the gennies and tigers meet in the ODAC tournament recently. Let’s let last year serve as a reminder. HSC should be up for the challenge after a wake up call last weekend. Tough to beat a team twice in a season, tougher to go to Fulton Field in front of what will be a raucous student body. Gennies better bring their A-game or start planning their Montauk trips ASAP.

Lynchburg vs. Noke:

Roanoke continues to get too many penalties. Accompany that with a better goalie and a better FOGO, and the edge goes to Lynchburg. Roanoke always has an x-factor because they have the best offensive player in the ODAC. Their best odds are pushing transition, then live or die with Kammerman in 6v6. It's 2016, and Cleveland (Roanoke) is down 3-1 to the Warriors (Lynchburg). Kammerman needs to be LeBron and put the team on his back.

Hampden Sydney needs to keep W&L to 10 or less. They can do it (obviously), but it will be very difficult. Stats to keep an eye on from last game:

W&L 28 turnovers
HS 27 turnovers...Ugly game for both

Faceoffs were 50/50

Perry 60% in goal

Yes I’m a total homer but an objective one I think. HSC has improved since the Denison game, very good D and Perry is capable of winning a game for you. This time around I think W&L has finally solidified goal play. That’s the only area I felt that HSC had an advantage in. The poles at HSC may have a slight edge but that is countered by a decided advantage in Ssdm group with Beatty and Cohen. W&L fogo is better, attack and overall O is better. Generals win this in what will be a very hard fought contest. Generals had the last game won except for a non contested pass clearing the ball. I’d hope they learned something’s from what Lynchburg did to HSC in the last contest.
Can Roanoke put enough pressure on Lynchburg to make them play their starters into the 4th qtr ????

Roanoke will have to play a perfect game to win. They definitely have to stay out of the penalty box. If they are going to play quick and try to score in transition they better have someone back up the shot. In the last game they played they gave the ball right back to Lynchburg 6 times due to no back up. In my opinion the first quarter is the key, if Lynchburg gets a big lead this time its game over. Shellenberger under the lights will be electric, big home field advantage for Lynchburg.

Nice complete game by the Generals. Glad they got a nice lead and stretched the bench. Lots of subs getting time in the 4th. Bou MVP, wore down HSC as Generals gained multiple possessions. Hoping Roanoke takes Lynchburg deep into the count at 7:00.

Disappointing loss for HSC. But this is just another example of how great the ODAC is for competitive games. Road teams seem to win often

Lots of lax to be played with one of the best D3 coaches out there. I’m not so sure Roanoke can play at this level for 60 minutes. Coach k will find a way
Wow Noke is still in the lead start of the 4th, can they pull this off ?
Hadley was the difference great game 17 saves. Lynchburg struggled on offense or was it the Roanoke D that played as well as I’ve seen them in a long time

Roanoke should feel proud of the way they competed. They almost pulled it off but in the end Lynchburg made just a couple more timely plays and their goalie had a great day. Roanoke should come away from this game with a belief that they can hang with good teams, now they just need to figure out a way to get over the hump and win a few of them. Roanoke only loses one senior starter so they should be soild next year.
Good luck to Lynchburg and W&L in the finals. I hope they play well in the NCAA tournament so the ODAC looks good.

I watched the second half of Lynchburg vs Roanoke.

Roanoke's offense WAS SO FRUSTRATING TO WATCH. If they did not push transition, they would consistently spin the ball around twice and then start a dodge with 30 seconds left on the shot clock. Who does that in the shot clock era? I wanted Kammerman to dodge more - he had an awesome goal in the second half blowing by his defender and then did not look to initiate at all in the 4th Q. He finished with 5 shots out of the Roanoke's 44. Meanwhile Mitchell and Wolfe combined for over half of Lynchburg's shots (18 out of 34).

Lynchburg's goalie was outstanding as well as the two studs mentioned above. And Lynchburg's D middies are very impressive/athletic.

Also, the faceoff battle was awesome to watch - Kraus and Peck BATTLED for possession the second half.

I agree with the Roanoke offense not really having a plan. Kammerman's goal was very nice but they never went back to that again. Lynchburg D caused three shot clock violations in the 4th quarter and I don't remember Roanoke getting a quality shot in any of them. Roanoke had 4 or 5 shots in very close range and the Lynchburg goalie saved them all. Perhaps a shot fake would have helped on those looks.
