That was an impressive come from behind win. Down 4-6 at 13:44 in the 3rd. went on 4-0 run, then a 6-0 run after LR scored as single goal. Outscored LR 10-3 in the 2nd half.
Where did this defense come from?

Does the margin of victory help them jump over LR or Wingate in the power rankings?

Kevin Reisman! That’s who!
Re: Limestone beats LR 14-8 in SAC Tourney Championship!!
Heck of a run by Limestone, after Rollins at #1 in the south, I think they are all interchangeable from 2-6

Not sure when voting for this weeks region rankings closed so I’m not sure if the L-R game will be factored into this weeks ratings.

I was talking about the regional rankings. Wonder if they held off reporting to get this championship game in the rankings. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/lacrosse- ... l-rankingsBirdsEyeView wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 7:44 pm Not sure when voting for this weeks region rankings closed so I’m not sure if the L-R game will be factored into this weeks ratings.

Yes, good point, last Wed regional rankings were through Sundays games so odds are good they don't include the Limestone/LR game.

Re: Limestone beats LR 14-8 in SAC Tourney Championship!!
Good stuff as always Red!
The limestone win moved Lenoir Rhyne down but Limestone still at 5.
If you were to guess. What would a Limestone win over Belmont Abbey do to the rankings? What would a loss do? does the spread final score matter?
are there any other games that matter left in the south? Uindy plays Lewis. Colrado Mesa plays adams state. I don't think Rollins, Wingate, LR and Tampa have any games on the schedule.

I ran a what-if and just put in wins for Stone, Mesa and Indy. Flipped Stone above LR. Moved nothing else in the top 20 except flip BA and Frostburg (19/20 to 20/19).Laxwarrior wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 7:52 am Good stuff as always Red!

Big caveat - I usually get most of the field, but often miss on the seedings as my ratings are an all-in-one approach to determine who actually had the best season. Not quite the process of the much more complicated (with lots of moving parts) NCAA system.
The Wednesday rankings will go a long way toward clarity as the only topic of concern then on Sunday for the final rankings is whether any of the three games you mentioned really changed anything.
Re: Limestone beats LR 14-8 in SAC Tourney Championship!!
UIndy has the GLVC tourney. Lewis on Sat and if they advance the winner of Rockhurst/Maryville on Sunday. Always tough game when in conference tourney.
Re: Limestone beats LR 14-8 in SAC Tourney Championship!!
A loss for Indy this weekend probably would do nothing but lower their seed, but would not knock them out of the tourney. Lewis, Rockhurst and Maryville are all in the top 30.
Re: Limestone beats LR 14-8 in SAC Tourney Championship!!
That is my thought, UIndy struggled with Lewis and Maryville during the season and Rockhurst beat them both, so can't take any team for granted at this point.
It would be nice for UIndy to stay in the 2-3 seed range as it has been a long time since some of the top South teams make the trip to Indy, it seems like we are always traveling to play them. I can see any of the 6 teams in the south making the trip to Philly. It is going to be a fun tourney. Go Hounds!
