since the over and back rule, have my attack staying below the restraining box. any thru ball with enough speed makes it to midline before any d man could get upfield to knock it back. takes that risk away and it's automatically our ball.Finster wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 8:29 am A quick note. I really thought deeply about this last night after returning from the ND/UVA game.
Maybe I caught the Kavanaugh brothers in a game where they had food poisoning the previous night.
But that would not excuse their lackluster efforts regardless. I’ve never seen two players so heralded exert so little effort in a major game. I took photos for someone close to the program to show where these two were every time UVA had the ball on the offensive end.
One time, 51 walked over to the ND sideline to get a drink, while the ball was in play. At no time did I ever see either standing at the midfield line waiting for any errant ground ball. UVA’s defense did though.
I saw two players who showed almost disdain for running for out of bounds possessions.
Compounding problems, their third attackman, Taylor, taunts Nunes after a goal; c’mon dude, act like you’ve been here. Just amateur hour from ND.
I’m always willing to admit if I’m missing a critical piece of information. Mayve they did have food poisoning. Maybe the hotel fire alarm went off at 3 am.
But I can’t tell you how much that attack can make a casual fan dislike the team; I wanted to cheer for ND, I ended up happier for the favorite.
Either get at it, or quit. Let players who want to hustle play. Corrigan didn’t seize any opportunity yesterday to teach a lesson to his team, and so the culture is weakened.
Pathetic.
i'd be expecting a pm from carc if i were you.
