Actually, is Stony Brook-Hofstra for a spot in the tournament. Or is SB in no matter what now?

win and in lose and out for both teams

If Hofstra wins they would have tie breaker with SBU based on head to head
Del 6-1
Drex 5-2
Tow 5-2
Hof 4-3
SBU 4-3

If SBU wins I am not sure of tie breaker
Del 6-1
Drex 5-2
Tow 5-2
SBU 5-2
Hof 3-4

Gerard Kane was wide wide open for a slam dunk,
instead Tierney calls for a slow down and then a timeout 👎

Dutch were down 11-6,
shut out Stony Brook over the final 12 minutes,
had several chances to tie it up in the final minutes
very good exciting game — too bad Dutch.

That final quarter with much much effort from the Dutch, selling out completely - not unlike the Hofstra game I saw at Vidas field.
In both games Turner was the prime mover, selling out on every play.
Unfortunately for the Dutch, Stony Brook got too big of a lead.
A lot of lot of energy in Hempstead despite the lousy weather.

What Hofstra has done ! Get out of it! They are too small physically, and not going to beat anyone. They have been on the wrong side for way too many years.
Gilardi is at SB in for 5 min and looks like Pam Anderson.

Hofstra can belch up a win once in a while. That’s it.

Sorry guys

3putz - maybe DM your post to 10stone5 and let him translate them into English before you post them. I am not sure how Pam Anderson almost losing a 5 goal lead in the fourth quarter has anything to do with Hofstra burping.

He has naked pictures of someone. Not in tourn in aprox 13 yrs . 24-33 In the last 4 years . No one cares if you are an Asst on the US team, or the PLL. No one cares or pretends to pay attention to that nonsense.

3putz, I never understood an anonymous poster who tries and fails to use wit and snark to opine about another persons employment and livelihood. You are obviously more knowledgeable about how to coach and how to build a program than a current head coach, the athletic director and the administrations. so why not just say " with my superior knowledge and intelligence I know that a man should be fired from a job where he runs a clean program, brings no bad press to the university and has had great success in cultivating financial boosters"

Obviously, no one likes to see someone lose their job. But, winning has to be brought up at some point. Maybe it doesn’t in this case. What team let’s say in the top 40 isn’t running a “clean program “? Obviously fundraising is important. Fundraise to do what ? Support a team that is hopefully successful.

The CAA as a whole has a problem keeping up with the top conferences.
In most years the CAA is middle of the pack including last year, though in 2017 they were on par with the Ivies.

The problem is - in addition to losing UMass - the top 5-6 teams are absolutely stacked with top recruits, good luck competing direct with that. Though the Tigers and Stony Brook were able to bring in highly rated transfers from Maryland Berkeley DeMaio Pallonetti. The Hens were able to get Grant to uncommit from Cornell, somehow outbid for Robinson and found underrated Kurtz and Ward. Tigers also got Weisshaar though I can’t imagine how many Nadelen had to fight off to get him to sign, and they got Constantinides to decommit from Hopkins.

So really, CAA teams are stuck finding diamonds-in-the-rough, Villagomez at Towson, Drexel got 3 Air Force recruits to decommit, Dutch got Kane from tOSU and found good talent in Turner and Woodland.

A couple years out, I’m seeing that DeLuca was able to compete with the top programs and get a couple top MD area defensemen. It will be a couple years before the CAA returns to that higher tier, and now also you have a strong A-10 to contend with.
