I didn't see the game but we somehow blew an 8-1 halftime lead and lost 9-8 in 3OT to Smithtown East.

Huntington appears to have played stall ball and had a real shot to knock off WM. They were up 2-0 at half. WM scored the winner with under a minute to go for a 3-2 final.

6-6 after 3. I only caught the 3rd period so far, MHS is 13 for 13 on the face offs, pretty incredible that GC is tied and has been leading most of the game

Manhasset really gaining steam here!

Girard is unbelievable. 8-6 Manhasset with 5:30 left in game.

GC used to have a FOGO not long ago, James Sullivan, who was money on 90% of his high school face offs. Does manhasset now have one? Who? Where’s he headed for college?

I don’t know how they got in such a hole, but definitely seem to be wearing down GD defense a bit. Big play by Flood the SSDM there

GC with their own big play defensively and big goal. 8-7 Manhasset with 3 minutes left

Honestly, every bounce went GC's way in the first quarter and a half.

GC right back in it, tied at 8. Didn’t love Manhasset’s defense there

didn’t love how they attacked (the last few minutes of regulation). GC definitely playing better defense to offset the FO disparity

Well they attacked in OT. Great run by Petersen

Some of the face off wins were so clean and easy it almost looked like he must have jumped. I know he didn't but it looked that easy

Not sure I've seen 100% before, certainly not against a top program like GC.

Jake Spallina is dominating FOs at Mt Sinai, could be an epic showdown ahead of us

Funny thing is Haverford School (PA) has a dominant FOGO named Ben Mc Carthy Class of ‘24, also going to Duke. Iron sharpens iron, I reckon.

Just watched the Woodstick. Says a lot about Manhasset that they're able to pull out a game like that against a rival who comes out that hot. Girard obviously a huge weapon but the whole team has a lot of character. Can't help but pull for them to finish undefeated and challenge for that mythical national title.
