Re: My top 25
Just a reminder as everyone starts to share your rankings. The 3rd place team in the B1G beat UVA and took ND to 3 overtime’s. Don’t let some in the media or Ossello influence your decisions. Do what’s right.

Re: My top 25
Unfortunately the team with the second-best record in B1G conference play was uncompetitive with not only UVA, but also UNC.
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.

And also don't forget that the first place B1G team lost to the last place ACC team (UNC) and 3rd place ACC team (UVA).Crease Crank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 8:36 pm Just a reminder as everyone starts to share your rankings. Re: My top 25
There are several good teams but no great team this year . Any top ten team has a chance to win it
Re: My top 25
JHU & PSU have identical 4-1 records at the top of the B1G standings. Ossello was never a great at ND. A not bad, if anything.Crease Crank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 9:05 pmFormer Notre Dame lacrosse great, podcast professional with a totally non biased opinion.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 8:59 pmWhat or Who is an Ossello?Crease Crank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 8:36 pm Just a reminder as everyone starts to share your rankings. Re: My top 25
Uva and Duke represent about 75% of that chance. Notre Dame maybe 20%. Sure the remaining 7 teams have a statistical chance, but they're all far behind UVA and Duke when it will matrer.
Re: My top 25
So the ACC has a 95% chance of winning the title, huh ?keno in reno wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 11:07 pmUva and Duke represent about 75% of that chance. Notre Dame maybe 20%. Sure the remaining 7 teams have a statistical chance, but they're all far behind UVA and Duke when it will matrer.
I’m seeing those three at about 45% composite probability,
Cornell at approx. 10%,
B1G top 3 at about 15%,
so, that’s 30% spread out among any number of teams including Georgetown,
last year Maryland’s probability was 60% to win the title,
no one this year is anywhere near that number —
— so wide wide open, any number of teams, including the top 3 ACCs could win it,
there is no one team anywhere close to Maryland in terms of completeness,
every team has a or several serious flaws which someone will try and exploit, of course.

Re: My top 25
Cornell’s probability went up significantly when Mike Long started playing regularly. So, one can’t judge their chances without treating the games in which he didn’t play as different from the ones in which he did play. (Cornell won all of the latter, with much better statistics.)
I don’t follow any other team so closely. So, I don’t know if another team is in a similar situation or not.

Re: My top 25
Heck why not, figured I’d take my own first go at the current top 20 (feel like 20-25 is throwing darts). I’m sure there is some glaring omission here, so apologies in advance.
NCAA LAX TOP 20
1. Notre Dame - ball movement like you dream about
2. UVA - top end talent and physicality
3. Duke - honestly haven’t watched a ton of them, but the resume speaks for itself
4. Hopkins - appear to be back
5. Georgetown - not the same team that started 0-3
6. Cornell - could be higher but can’t get over the Harvard L
7. Penn State - don’t love the Nova & Marquette loses
8. Maryland - team feels bipolar, could beat #1 and lose to #20 on any given day
(Insert Gap here - I think the top 8 is fairly clear cut from the next 12)
9. Denver - another team I feel could put two very different performances up depending on the day
10. Penn - more losses than some behind them, but none of which feel too bad
11. Yale - good thing RPI doesn’t look at the scoreboard
12. Army - who have they beaten?
13. Nova - The GTown game should be very telling as to whether this team is the same one that beat Penn State to start the season
14. Rutgers - Don’t love any of the wins but don’t hate any of the losses
15. ‘Cuse - giving them some credit for the tough schedule and staying close in most games
16. Princeton - I want to put them at 15, but will give Cuse credit for the H2H win
17. Delaware - could be an upset pick in the first round off the AQ
18. UNC - pretty much here because of the Hopkins win
19. BU - Army will be the chance for them to make a statement heading into the Patriot League tourney
20. Michigan - 5/6 losses and 2 wins have come against teams listed above

These are great one-line descriptions! (And can't argue with any of them ...)
