4. Other BigTen teams are having a down year with some generational talent leaving the year before.....so the door is open for upsets.gymman1031 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 3:24 pm Once again:
1. Conry has recruited great
2. He has all his own players now.
3. Lots of his players are very experienced.
Let’s see how they do against Rutgers, Penn State, and Ohio State.

Michigan now has a slim opening to sneak a NCAA playoff bid this year. Hope they snag it. Have to finish .500, because it'd be a tall order to win the Big Ten.
Hungry/desperate didn't do it last Saturday. We'll see this week.gymman1031 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 5:34 pm Michigan beating Maryland=huge
However, if Michigan can win at Rutgers on Friday=just as big, if not bigger
Think about it. Rutgers will be desperate for a conference win and be hungry. In addition, they may well take Michigan, if possible, even less lightly now. Also, Friday evening road games aren't always easy for college teams. Especially if they have to travel a long way. And, we can't forget that, IF Michigan wins, it won't just be their first victory over Rutgers since 2015, but it will also mark the first time the program has won back-to-back conference games.
It sure didn't. However, and while I am not taking anything away from your Jays, who are looking excellent, Rutgers will be home on a Friday night this time.JHU69 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 5:54 pmHungry/desperate didn't do it last Saturday. In past years, a team like Penn State would have won handily. Let's see if, in the near future, a lot more of these close losses to such teams will turn into wins.
As someone who has been critical of Michigan, I will say that there is more reason than ever before to have hope that Coach Conry will lead the program to many good things. However, a lot of those close losses need to turn into wins soon.
