Kean?! That's high praise, or at least it might be after 4/12.
NCAC 2023
Re: NCAC 2023
I also watched and I saw a scrappy midwest lacrosse game that had moments of brilliance. Clark and Kean do not have the skill level that is present with these NCAC teams and would be eviscerated in a head to head match up. Please leave our discord and go back to your smelly little Kean hole you crawled from. Be careful around these parts, if you aren't Nosey Ned might come and get you and your stinker.
Re: NCAC 2023
Denison over Oberlin 19-6. Oberlin keeper was excellent. Big Red v. OWU Saturday afternoon in Granville.

Thank you, disgruntled Kean/Clark parent whose son wasn’t recruited by Wooster or OWU (skud), for letting us know who this forum’s least knowledgeable poster is right off the bat. Need a dummy like you to keep us on our toes.

Back off SKUD, your words have no credence here. I am officially banning you from the NCAC forum. Re: NCAC 2023
Anyone know the date of the Denison/Wooster make-up from earlier in the season? It's a conference game, so I'm assuming they have to make it up before the tournament?
Re: NCAC 2023
I wish I could help but the bully of the Midwest banned me and I don't know. But looking at the 2 schedules it looks like it will be tough and a week night.jetdirect47 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 6:10 pm Anyone know the date of the Denison/Wooster make-up from earlier in the season? As to the good question brought up by my peer, looking at the 2 schedules it looks like it will be tough and a week night.
Re: NCAC 2023
Well we are inside 24 hours to one of the best rivalries in D3 lacrosse - Denison vs OWU.
Denison has had the upper hand in this match up for the better part of the last 15 years, going 19 and 6 over that span, including 9 of the last 12.
I’m seeing tomorrow as more of the same.
Denison 14 OWU 10
GO BIG RED

Here we go. Predictions
Denison 15, OWU 8 - OWU is the little brother in the rivalry lately, and Denison got their mojo back with that Oberlin beatdown.
Wooster 22, Wabash 6 - Wooster is finally gonna explode after eating a slice of humble pie on Tuesday.
Kenyon 31, Hiram 2. Nuff said.
Oberlin 12, Depauw 9 - After looking like some cheeks to open the season, Depauw has been scrappy.

Re: NCAC 2023
OWU at Denison: Big Red 11, Bishops 5 Final.
Re: NCAC 2023
This Rivalry game followed the recent familiar script. OWU starts fast and takes a multi goal lead but Denison doesn’t panic and just continues to do what they have done more often than not against the Bishops in recent years. That is, fight back and win the game. Yesterday that outcome materialized from a dominating 10-1 goal advantage over the Bishops in the last 35min of game time.
This result leaves a log jam at the top of the conference standings. The top 4 teams all have just 1 conference loss. At least one team will drop out on Wednesday, as Kenyon hosts Wooster. Assuming that game plays out as I suspect (Kenyon wins 11-8) we will then have 3 teams on top that are all 1-1 against the other 2. What’s the tiebreaker - as the remainder of the conference schedule would expect those 3 teams to win out? Wooster will still have a say of course as they have not only a postponed game against Denison to play, but also will at the very least take the 4 seed in the tournament.
The NCAC race is a real dog fight for the 1st time in awhile and I think we all like that!

Re: NCAC 2023
If Denison doesn't earn the AQ, do you think they will get an at large bid? Just curious. That will pull a bid from another deep conference who might be expecting multiples if that happens.
Re: NCAC 2023
Since the AQ for the the NCAC was initiated, I can only think of 1 year (2018) when the conference was a 2 bid league. I don’t see this year being the second.jetdirect47 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 9:17 am If Denison doesn't earn the AQ, do you think they will get an at large bid? Just curious. Though I know Denison is definitely one of the best 32 teams in D3 - I’m afraid their only path to the Dance is the AQ. If they had coupled their win over Gettysburg with one more against W&L or York, they’d have been a lock IMHO. But alas …..
So go win the AQ - GO BIG RED

Re: NCAC 2023
In 2018 Denison won the AQ. OWU had a strong season that included a win over Salisbury. Does Denison have that kind of resume? If not, NCAC looks like a one bid conference even if Denison loses in the conference tourney.

Re: NCAC 2023
No, the NCAC is a one-bid league always. 2018 was the anomaly where OWU beat Salisbury as well as Denison in the regular season, and their only regular season L's were to RIT and Cabrini. Denison's wins against Hampden-Sydney and Gettysburg are impressive but don't think they have the type of resume that could potentially get them an at-large if they weren't to win the NCAC. Other than them, no one else is even close to being considered for an at-large.
