Nice little matchup tonight, right? Yale v. Army. Predictions?

Army 14-13 - I'm giving the home team the advantage here.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 4:15 pm Nice little matchup tonight, right? Yale v. Army. Predictions?

I'm going to go with Yale by 2. They've been playing well and it seems Army has been in a bit of a funk for the past few games.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 4:15 pm Nice little matchup tonight, right? Yale v. Army. Predictions?

Re: Live Game Action
Army goes on a nice little run to close the half up 8-7 over Yale.
Re: Live Game Action
Yale wins 14-13 - great game. Yale goalie with a one-on-one stuff with under a minute to go.

Re: Live Game Action
Yale wins by 1. Entertaining game to watch. Two evenly matched teams. Army has to clean up their clearing game.
Re: Live Game Action
Loyola should look at Army and adjust their thinking about their biggest threat.
Re: Live Game Action
What is wrong with this picture, Maquette, 11-1 not ranked in the IWlCA poll? Not even getting votes! What is wrong with the coaches or people voting? I don’t think they are a top 5 or top 10 team, but they have some nice wins. SMH
Re: Live Game Action
They don't appear to have any wins that move the needle, at least from a voter's perspective. And the media poll doesn't show who's receiving votes or not, so they might be.

Richmond v. JMU at 5:00, ESPN+.
Re: Live Game Action
Think that is pretty spot on, imo. They have beaten 5-7 Gtown and 5-8 OSU.............. Record wise their best win may be Cinci who sits at 9-4 I believe. Their wins, imo, stack pretty well against Dooks but they get the ACC bias bump.jff97 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 8:59 pmThey don't appear to have any wins that move the needle, at least from a voter's perspective. Re: Live Game Action
I look at Marquette and Army in relation to the IL Poll and struggle to see the difference between the two.
Army: Best wins are a free falling Rutgers team and Jacksonville who is no longer in lead position of their league. Close calls against BU, Lehigh. Strength of schedule is 51 in the country.
Marquette- blown out by NW, win against Louisville, 1 goal win vs OSU (both at the bottom of their respective conferences). Best win is cinci. Close call with Niagara, UC Davis. Strength of Schedule is 55.
Not much of a difference between the two, but one is ranked 14 and the other isn’t even receiving votes.
Both are great stories but the next 4 games for both will be very interesting. Loyola game will tell us a lot about Army. Interested to see what Denver and Marquette game will bring to the table as well!

Loyola wins by 6-7. I think Loyola will win but Army will put up a fight. Denver wins by 8. Something like 15-7
Re: Live Game Action
Actually the real question is what the heck has happened to Ohio State over the past 5 years? I can recall them with a signature win against MD a few years back and program has gone downhill since.
Marquette is a nice team, but honestly they are in that #30 - #50 category.

St. Joe’s has doubled up Princeton 12-6 at the end of the 1st half.
