I’m interested to see what they do - any coach that doesn’t faceguard Gebhardt and instead tries to play MIT straight up is asleep at the wheel IMO. Think MIT will breeze into the 20s if Colby goes vanilla 6 on 6 defensively.
100% correct.

Looking at the Colby stats.
They have only had 7 players appear in every game.

0 defensemen have started every game.

Their starting defense vs. Conn had 2 freshmen and a sophomore, none of which had any starting experience.

Their 2nd and 3rd leading scorers also did not play vs. Conn.

Seems to look like the Mules have a ton of injuries.

According to Massey, WES 25 has a much lower SOS than TUF 1, MIDD 2, AMH 4 BOW 3 or WIL 5. Could that hurt them when NCAA selection time if they are a bubble team?

Yes. But the toughest NESCAC slate is still in front of them. SOS Will improve. Bigger hurdle is that it’s unlikely the NESCAC will get 5 bids, potentially somebody good is staying home.

Even with an upset or two down the stretch, yes it does seem the NESCAC is a 4 bid league

I got Wes tomorrow, 20-15

I am very familiar with this rivalry (lol) and I feel that Wes is better than Amherst this year. Especially on the offensive end. But hey, it’s the Nescac and anything will happen and this will be a great matchup.

I don't think Bowdoin or Wes deserves an at large bid. They both are playing crappy out of league schedules and neither one of them has beaten anyone in the upper tier of division 3. As of now the only NESCAC teams that should go to the show are Tufts, Middlebury, and Amherst.

Wes hasn't scored anywhere near 20 against good opponents (Stevens, Bowdoin) and AC hasn't give up more than 16 to anyone but Tufts. I'd say AC takes this one 17-14.

Stevens and Bowdoin are decent at best. I would not put them in the good category. They have both played pretty crappy schedules and lost to any team worth talking about. Wesleyan is going to get DESTROYED by Amherst.

Bowdoin Schedule - Loses to good teams
03/05 @ Middlebury L 21-15
03/11 vs Hamilton W 17-16
03/14 @ Western New England W 7-19
03/15 @ Nazareth W 8-18
03/18 @ Williams L 12-11
03/22 vs Endicott W 18-9
03/25 vs Wesleyan W 14-8
03/28 vs Babson W 13-12
04/01 @ Amherst L 13-12

Stevens - Loses to good teams
@ Drew W 4-25
02/18 @ Dickinson L 13-6
02/22 vs Haverford W 17-9
02/26 @ Springfield W 5-13
03/01 @ SUNY Maritime W 12-22
03/06 @ Oneonta W 5-10
03/11 vs Wesleyan W 15-7
03/15 @ Eastern W 10-14
03/19 vs Tufts L 7-21
03/29 @ FDU-Florham W 10-28
04/02 vs DeSales W 20-10

Wesleyan - Loses to both both of the above.
03/05 @ Bates W 5-24
03/08 vs SUNY Maritime W 18-2
03/11 @ Stevens L 15-7
03/15 vs Salve Regina W 17-6
03/18 vs Colby W 21-12
03/22 vs Coast Guard W 25-7
03/25 @ Bowdoin L 14-8
04/01 vs Hamilton W 19-11

Wednesday, April 5th

Hamilton 12 @ Middlebury 14 -- Let down spot for the Panthers, could very well see them dropping this one.

Wesleyan 10 @ Amherst 17 -- Wesleyan can always stump a team with their zone, but Amherst is just simply way better.

Williams 11 @ Tufts 24 -- Ho-hum.

Bates 7 @ Bowdoin 17 -- Just a tick more interesting than the above game. Bates offense is tough to watch right now.

Conn College 13 @ Trinity 12 -- Conn keeps an impressive season rolling in a nail-biter.

Colby 13 @ MIT 20 -- Colby lost to Widener.

One thing I’ll say to give Amherst the edge is that Wesleyan has been horrendous on the road the past two seasons. However, last season Wesleyan dominated Amherst with the same exact players minus Robbins and Sexton. Maybe those two played a huge role, and it is a new year, but I see enough returners where Wesleyan will take this one. I’ll stick to my 5 goal wes win. Let’s hope for a good game.

It's still early. Bowdoins wins over WNEC and Naz could prove to be a difference maker when the dust settles.

If Wesleyan splits between Amherst, Middlebury, Tufts and Williams that could also help propel them. A number of questions still to be answered in the NESCAC

GROY field wide open unless Brock Gonzalez returns quick for Amherst. Heavy favorite coming into the year…
