Mr3Putt wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 9:29 am Big difference, Klockner is grass, Arlotta w turf. With sport turf I don’t see weather being major factor. The soar thumbs stick out: Nunes is better at home, ND additions Fake & Devlin are big. And, ND just has droves of offensive players that are equally or more talented than MD.

This made me laugh.
No idea why Virginia should even bother to show up with all that stacked against them.
In a lot ways, I feel like UVA's loss last weekend makes them more likely to win this weekend. I'm not normally one to believe in "bounce back theories," but Shelly isn't going to have two below average scoring games in a row. Fake didn't exactly shut down Erksa in College Park. In fact, Erksa's speed seemed to be a problem for Fake. Shellenberger has elite athleticism, and I can't believe he'll shoot 1-7 (with his 1 being a backside dunk off a slide) again. Tevlin has been super impressive, so he is a difference make in trying to contain Schutz. I do think the game comes down to possessions. If Lasalla goes +50%, I think that will be the difference.

Watch ND switch this game to their indoor football practice facility! If that happens, ND by a comfortable margin!

Are they allowed to change the venue in case of adverse weather?
you seem obsessed with this. it'll be 46 degrees at game time. you're a syracuse fan, but did u grow up in florida?

Where did you get your meteorology degree, Trump U? The weather is always perfect in the Dome.

And my weather.com South Bend forecast for Saturday isn’t just “46 degrees”. It’s:

“100% chance of rain/snow
43 degrees
SW winds 20-30, gusting to over 40”
here you go, my man...
https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.p ... =0&dd=&bw=
when i want to watch reporters being blown sideways in a hurricane, i go to the weather channel/weather.com.

when i want to know what the weather's going to be like for a chunk of time, i go to the national weather service.
46 degrees
38 wind chill
20-23 sustained winds w the dreaded gusts @ 31-37.
60 down to 55% chance of precip
also, the total accumulation from 8 am to 2 pm will be all of 0.18 inches.

do you know how chance of precip works? it's over a given area for a given amount of time. so for a day, the chance of precip may be 100%. but for 2 hours it may be 50%. or 0%. it also means that a given area (larger than south bend but south bend is included), 50% for example of the area will be seeing precip @ points in time or that time frame. some towns within that region may see zero. doesn't mean the 50% forecast was wrong or a guess.

38 degrees in the 'cuse peeps are breaking out the cargo shorts. sounds like it's gonna be in arlotta and vegas takes a beating again.

My favorite Syracuse sighting is fat guys shoveling snow in shorts. It’s a sight seared in my memory.

I think Cuse is gonna absolutely steamroll Hobart this weekend.

If LaSalla can win 55-60% of draws, and I expect that he will, UVA will win relatively comfortably - i.e. by 3-4 goals. Too many offensive weapons, and no can take Shellenberger out of UVa’s offense like Zapitello can.

I hope you’re right about the first point and tend to agree with your second.

Does a 40mph gust of wind blow the Slim Reaper off the field ? 😀
Hope it’s a good game . Long season left either way.

UVA has the better coach, both offense play too loose. UVA better Defense but ND better goalie. UVA better FO. Best player on the field Tevlin. Depends on who the Referee favor.
I want UVA to win.

I think UVA has better poles, but their team defense hasn’t been good in their closer games. They ball watch a ton and Maryland took advantage of it.

I think secondary midfield scoring will win this game.

If Conner, Miezan and Garno chip in points UVA will win.

Where as if Grey, McCahon, or Walker play like they did vs. Georgetown, ND will win.

It’s the Kavanaughs bros world and we are just living in it. Best duo since the Thompson bros and there is no doubt about that.

Just ftr, Notre Dame’s defense is SIGNIFICANTLY better than UVA’s. Not sure if you’ve been watching any games.

What are you people smoking? ND’s defense is demonstrably better than UVA’s.

Obviously. The Kavanagh brothers won a natty last year, Thompson brothers never did.

I thought the ND defense has a decided edge in D, in combination with Entenman’s stellar goalie play… UVa has the better top-end talent with their poles, but ND is so disciplined, and plays better team D. But if Maryland could score 12 goals on them, I could see UVa’s offense scoring at least 14 or 15. Especially if LaSalla comes close to Weirman’s FO numbers.

The ND FOGO Lynch plays Lasalla to even when they have met.

Cavs rolling ... not able to watch but the fancy stats at lacrossereference show total domination thru Q1 (as does the score, 5-1).

Did anyone actually believe a Kevin Corrigan coached team would show up in a big game?
