Chips for Russia. The youtube prof tells about refrigerators being disassembled to get the chips.
Putin called what he thought was Bidens bluff. How’s that working out for Russian interests?
Xi would have to do the same. Biden aligns with Reagan on foreign policy. I find it unlikely that Biden will keep his powder dry if Xi tests him.

The good news is that China's chips, while better than none, are not what drives the most advanced weapon capabilities.

either way, an inferior weapon (because of the inferior China chips) can KILL humans with equal distrection.
Just ask Lee Harvey O.......inferior weapons can still get the job done.

He hasn't said a word about it, so I'm guessing not. The only thing Biden has threatened China about is a transfer of weapons/ammo to Russia.
Again, as I just pointed out..... The US of A is buying stuff from Russia and vice versa right now, today. I also pointed this out during Trump, if you'll recall----we can't seem to be able to decide if Russia/China is an enemy or not. We talk like they are enemies, but we trade like we're friends....and in China's case, we trade like they are our very best friends.
This, imho, needs to be fixed, and we need to pick a lane. Certainly doesn't need to be all or nothing....but there are lesser degrees of both trade and the granting of student VISAs then where we are now with China.

This was my understanding. We are involved with a company in this space. Was waiting on Chinese approval for a meaningful acquisition. Finally came through after 9 month. Increasing industry capacity. It’s a long cycle.

Chips for supercomputers ? The Yale Prof was talking about chips for manufacturing cars & refrigerators, although the Russians should be able to make both without chips for domestic consumption. I wish I could buy a new car without a computer that didn't make the yellow service engine idiot light come every time the O2 sensor sneezes. The $600 mechanic full employment light.

China is likely to supply some of Russia’s general needs but the big issue would be actual military weapons. Russia is running out…
