Johns Hopkins 2023
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Rowlett's brother was a pain to play against at UNC. I think there was a game down there in a monsoon where he took a few cheap shots at one of our guys.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Thanks. So I went to look at the weather for Saturday night in NOVA and it will be awful for my kids 7 PM lax game. He was pretty excited to play a game under the lights. I am not so happy to be watching it under the lights in the same conditions.51percentcorn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 8:59 am Oh - the bad news for both teams - the weather right now is forecasted to be god-awful. By the time 7 PM rolls around you could have temps in the low 40s high 30s and dropping with maybe some rain and a forecast of very high winds. Rain forecasted to be 100% for Saturday and a 1/2" - who knows when that shows up or ends but one thing appears certain winds 20-30 mph. That game might be a parents only affair.

I’ve heard those cheap shots were answered in the tunnel before teams returned to the mud pit for the second half

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Thinking about the lousy weather in Ann Arbor on Saturday, have the banana guys ever missed a game?
I know the tradition is longstanding, but anyone know when it started?

watching BTN
Must one subscribe to BTN to watch lacrosse games?
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
One does, and unfortunately one will be disappointed in the coverage offered by the B1G-. Unless, of course, you enjoy the crow's nest view.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Not really wrong, you do have to subscribe.....good this one isn't on the minus, should get a good view.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
All remaining Hopkins regular season games are on actual television:
Michigan - BTN
Rutgers - ESPNU
Penn State - BTN
Ohio State - ESPNU
Maryland - BTN
Hop doesn't have any janky B1G+ games like some of their conference counterparts

All B1G games are on BTN or ESPNU from my understanding.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
The elder Rowlett was easily one of the most hatable players in the sport over the last decade. Very good (not great) player, but really a guy who crossed the line a lot. The only guy I can think of who was close was #24 on Tiffany’s great Brown teams (JJ with a last name I can’t spell). So hope you’re right about the tunnel retaliation.

I don't have cable TV, but want to watch the Hopkins-Michigan game. I just signed up for Hulu and have logged into my account. What do I do next?
I would like to get these pesky details out of the way by Saturday.

Undoubtedly the result of message board outrage. I'm glad Baker is staying on top of things. To all 3 people planning to watch the game who aren't forum readers or related to players in the game, you are welcome.
Since Georgetown just changed hoops coaches the flosports cost to watch the hoya game if it returns will probably go up quite a bit however.

Brother Mazzone got defenseman of the week. 9th Hopkins honor this year, tied with the terps.

If you have the version of Hulu with live TV, then you can just watch the game on the B1G Network channel. If you don't have the "live TV" add-on, you need to sign up for that. You can't watch live TV or sports with just a standard Hulu subscription.Old Lax Fan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:50 pm I don't have cable TV, but want to watch the Hopkins-Michigan game. Either 1971 or 1972 for the bananas. Counting goals goes back another couple decades

The crowd was counting goals in the 1950s and likely before that...
Of course the cannon was the big thing then. It was positioned behind and pointing toward the opposing goalie...boom !

The navy broadcast felt like a navy broadcast down to the ads. These are the kind of vignettes THE Paul Cotter, carc, anish, Dixon and Quint should be giving the national viewing audience. As well they used to do a nice job putting father Stanwick on tv. I'm sure there are a lot of alumni at the games especially standing on the 2nd floor terrace. It wouldn't be hard to showcase that and the inside of the clc. I'm not sure if the big ten network has the tournament-I'm assuming it does, they have the ability to do this as well.BlueJaySince1947 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 8:50 pm The crowd was counting goals in the 1950s and likely before that...
