Cuse will win their next three games handily ...
I agree; the issue is the 5 games after that: ND, Princeton, UNC, Virginia, Duke. They'd have to win 2 of those 5 just to finish 8-7, and there's no conference tourney to bolster their record after that.

They may well need to finish 9-6 to have a realistic chance at the tourney, which means winning 3 of those final 5 games. A very tall order. Not undoable, but certainly no gimme.

Of course, maybe they'll ride the wave of the insane ACC RPI and 8-7 will be enough.
Agree. Had said in preseason that UNC and JHU would make or break season and those two losses really stung. Schedule strong but softer in having Princeton rather than highly ranked Cornell and facing ND and UVA only once this year . Committee isn't going from only one Acc to five without Cuse having at least two signature wins to warrant any consideration.

Syracuse's 3 wins are against teams with records of 1-4, 2-4, and 0-7. At 3-4 with those 3 being their 3 wins T(he highest ranking of hose 3 teams in the Massey rankings is 34) it's hard to imagine I'll spend much time trying to slot hem into my top 25.

Are the 4 losses to good teams? Yes. And have they played well in some of those losses? Sure. But at the end of the day you have to hang some wins on some good teams.
Well yes the profile of body of work to date isn’t great. Then I watch Hiltz, Thompson, Leo, Kirst, Spallina, Rosa, etc plus an elite goalie and have to think they’re going to win the middle games and some more here.
Cuse will win their next three games handily . Indeed have a handful of young good offensive players brought in by Desko so team no longer overly reliant on any one talent ie Dordevic (take a bow DMC) but outside Hopkins they haven't been as close in the other three losses as brilliant goalie play by Mark has masked other deficiencies. Mark has been that impactful , put him on team last year and their record flips . In my eyes Desko did more with less (mainly due to poor recruiting classes and poor use of transfer portal) and Gait has so far done less with more ( Desko last recruiting class which was excellent and some excellent pickups in portal ) . Hopefully Mark will stay another year .Cuse will be very good again if they keep their recruiting classes come through .

Not sure why OSU is still getting love from media. Got a lot of mileage from UNC win but that should have faded as they have gotten blown out by the three other good teams that have faced.

I don’t know. Hofstra and Hobart are both better than their records right now. I agree about St Bonaventure.
We know and got to Mark last year, LIU fan will make excuses but he's known to Bart. Problem is our D/Goalie so it's going to be first one to 25 potentially.

All's I know when it comes to Kruas Simmons either get on the OG Orange and Purple bus or get a fish upside the head!

Interesting. 37% against Hobart last year.

Id be shocked if they can hold Cuse offense to less than 12 goals and highly doubt Hof O could hit double digits against Mark . Maybe weather affects play somewhat but expect Cuse to match whatever line is. Hobart offense starts off every game fast but that team just can't sustain their play, offense peers out and their D is weak. St Bonnies should allow liberal subbing . Cuse may not be in top twenty but don't see them losing to any in that group either
Mark 'only' had 13 saves.

No excuses it was legit he lost his All NEC defenseman Chris Cambell who is now at Umass and All NEC LSM Ryan Blume to suspension from St Joes game. Had backups in there and Mark had the worst game I have seen him play in his college career. Wasn't taking anything away from Hobart I think you guys have a lot of talent on offense. I was just stating facts losing two very good players in that game to suspension effected the game. I would not be surprised to see Chris Cambell play at the next level he is legit. He transferred in and the defense took a huge step up last yr. I actually like watching Hobart play u guys are always a fun team to watch but I can't understand how ur goalie lost his job? I thought he was solid the last few yrs. Was he struggling this yr and got benched or they just went with someone else this season?

We had a couple of offensive starters out as well. 21/22 was done with half the 4th left. Mark can be got. That’s all.

On our goalie, your guess is as good as mine. I don’t get it. He’s inconsistent but we know we’re getting 50-53% vs whatever the heck this is which we’ve seen in limited action previously. Down 1-2 returning D/LSM but we’ve got a lot of experience that half of the field that haven’t played half as well as prior years.

Bart has had good to very good offenses for five years running now. Knox was a mixed bag for the team but between Brundage and the personnel they’re getting 13+ most games that aren’t blizzards like the Colgate one. We just give up goals like if open doors for Natalie Portman.

Yep. Just like ND, Georgetown, Syracuse, Unc, Duke, and everyone else who is anything. Not sure why you need to hear this so often, but the portal is recruiting.

I think Army bringing in unlimited class sizes and not having to adhere to the 12.6 scholarship limit while stashing kids in MAPS so the vast majority of the team are 5th years is a sweet advantage. Wonder why they don't make Final Fours or compete at a higher level.

Cornell had a great game against Yale, but I still wouldn't put them above Maryland (who, after all, have a Cornell grad as coach ...) :D

since you only opined on one ranking I guess this is reasonable but not sure I agree there aren't bracketed type delineations. You putting money even up on Army vs. Duke, PSU and Cornell right? (yes I'm aware of last years results which are relevant in 2022)

I felt bad for the 2 teams that were slighted last year so to ensure entry this year, I made them 1 and 2, but if you don't like Duke at 2, then simply swap them with Notre Dame.
