Too bad, they’ll keep those up sometimes for a few days.
Firth had 1 and 2 last I saw, that’s a talented Hill team.

This may be a bit too personal for this thread, but I recall reaching out to Coach Moran every St Patrick's Day. I also recall how he used to invite players and coaches of Irish descent to his home on St Patrick's day for corned beef (I'm not of Irish descent).
So to members of the Cornell Lacrosse Community to whom this day holds significance. Happy Saint Patrick's Day !

Richie also coached the Irish national team for those who did not know.

Re: Cornell 2023
A year ago today, Coach Moran sent me a photo of him dressed as a leprechaun. He was so emaciated by then that it was truly sad. He was below 130 pounds by then and would pass away 5 weeks later. I won't post the photo. On April 29, 2023, a bronze plaque will be dedicated in Coach's honor, mounted on the Schoellkopf House wall in direct sight of the locker room entrance. The ceremony begins at 9:55 am on the Tanner Terrace and the public are invited. The Princeton game starts at noon.faircornell wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 7:28 am This may be a bit too personal for this thread, but I recall reaching out to Coach Moran every St Patrick's Day. Long back in the lineup, and let's just say, the offense looks a bit more cohesive with him in there...
Re: Cornell 2023
They are looking pretty good through the first half! No comparison to the team that showed up against PSU last weekend.

Congrats to the Big Red (and fans) on a dominant road win over Yale. Cornell thoroughly outplayed Yale in every facet of the game. Nice to see Michael Long back in the line-up for the Big Red.
Nice win to build on for Cornell; hoping Yale can dust itself off and get back towards earning a spot in the ILT and see what happens.

Walker Wallace with 2 points! Billy Coyle with 8! 21 saves for Chayse! Dominant performance. Don't forget to tune in ESPN at 7PM Eastern to see if Vito & Yianni can win National Championships in wrestling. GO BIG RED!

Great to see Long back and apparently at full strength.
And I'm pleased that Coach Buczek took my advice and kept Coyle at attack

Re: Cornell 2023
You know. Sometimes us fans are pretty smart. All year, many fans and posters have been saying that even though Cornell is 4-1, somethings just not right or somethings missing as was just said last week in another thread and many of us including myself in that other thread I was referring to, simply said wait until MICHEAL LONG returns.
Wow, most COMPLETE game in a hostile environment, I have seen the BIG RED play in a LONG time.
This is the team that I said even before the year started that I expect to win the NC. They are that good, complete, deep and well coached.
The Star of the game was obviously LONG as he makes this team go but what a performance by Coyle, Kirst, Adler in incredible shut down mode, and Chayse is lights out in goal. Petrakis was awesome on the X, and some other contributors that we don't see every week.
Kudos to Coach Buczek and Steven's for getting this team ready and firing on all cylinders.
And Marquette beat PSU.
Finally, if the weather is at all tolerable next SUNDAY, I can go cheer on this great team against Penn.
