Nah, you have a wide open shot. Take it. Unlucky to hit the pipe. A 2-goal lead prob ices it with 90 seconds to go

Great win. Can't wait for Petro to show up in Orange at Homewood again this summer.

Marcille just stole the game.

SU D played an excellent game.

Hopkins D stepped up when they had to. Kept some of SU’s big guns relatively quiet.

But again … Marcille stole the game. Hopkins was pretty much outplayed everywhere but in goal.

Ehhhh, they looked like the better team to me. This was our third game in 8 days in a hostile environment and they won the second half 6-3. Won the 4th 3-1.

As I noticed the gait logo in the nets all game long I kept thinking about that. Every school does it their own way, but just something I couldn't get out of my mind.

A solemn tradition
For more than 100 years, before the Blue Jays' home-opener each season, the captains of the men's lacrosse team have pinned two small red and white flags with gold stars to each goal at Homewood Field. The tradition began in April 1919, when former coach Bill Schmeisser handed one of the silk service flags to captain Herb Baxley, whose brother was killed a year earlier in France during World War I.

To this day, the tiny flags are tagged to the nets during every home game, but few may know their significance. Each gold star represents one of the 11 former Blue Jays killed in World War I, World War II, or the Vietnam War.

Those last few were huge. Welcome back Matty. That is a perfect example of faceoff depth being crucial
