As a fan of high level sports, I’ve come to understand how learning how to win is a very difficult process. This team is pretty young and inexperienced, and they needed to learn how to win and close out a big game. As choppy as it was at times, the big takeaway should be that these guys learned how to win and they’ll be confident that they can replicate that. To me, they should be 5-2 after the Providence game. Offensively, they are dangerous and they played very well yesterday. Anthony is almost Aslanian like… not in stature but in his ability to control a game. He’s one of the best players in the A10 no question. There are so many guys who can make an impact and a different player can light it up on any given day, that’s the sign of a truly efficient offense. They are figuring it out defensively too, I thought Julian Race was extremely good when he was out there. He has Stanny Gilbertson level explosiveness. Coach picks the numbers for a reason, I think he sees that potential too. Can’t wait for Tuesday.
Shhh on 5-2, the next two are winnable but teams playing fairly well at the moment and we’re on a 4 game 11 day stretch here with a bunch of injured kids.

Supposedly replay one ESPn+ but can’t find it as I barely got through half before I had to focus on coaching my kids team but didn’t recall seeing race in the first half - had been hopeful w him. Believe he was a Section 6/WNY AA at St Joseph’s before going to Western Reserve to kind of finish off.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Dartmouth on a Tuesday is going to be a big challenge. Can't afford any letdowns after such a tough game at RoMo. I plan on being there to finally see the Statesmen in person. Do the Tailgatesmen get together for midweek games?

Unrelated to lax, but the Skatesmen got a very good draw in the D3 hockey tournament.

While I have been picking on the defense and goalie lately, there is one thing the offense should try a bit more of... Motion offenses such as Cornell, UVA, Duke and Cuse put on shows this past weekend. When our off ball movement steps up we score a lot easier/frequently. The team is capable of it. We've had glimpses in each game. As good as Datellas is, we can't rely on him too much. The difficulty and pace of play is only going to step up for the rest of the schedule. Time to make some tweaks before conference play starts.

I’m so glad that I took the day off tomorrow to head to the game. Unless the conditions are going to be like the ones at Colgate play the freaking game outside already. Does anyone know if Dana’s shows the games?

Do they show the games there? Even though the game won’t be on the Boz I still need to travel to Geneva.

Get a keg and a iPad and chill out down by the train tracks at the lake with a lawn chair

Ketch, go to the Dome at the start of the second quarter. You'll miss the first quarter, but I bet they'll let you in. Usually by that time they know how many are in there and if there is room for another person.

Agreed! This is one of the strengths that Rosa brings. I think Ward could help with this too, if he were to get in more often.
I'll add that our offensive collapses have coincided with disintegrating into man on man dodging. Might work against Canisius, but not against Cornell.

Might be the black cleats, but Dartmouth looks horrible. Not a good team.

I know the guy has made good saves and had good games, but the goalie is really inconsistent.

Huh. Last three quarters of play by the Big Green and the final score say otherwise. Hobart might want to try black cleats.

What? 4-0. What is your definition of a good team?
Hmmm....beat everyone on your schedule but you are not a good team.
Are we living in an alternate universe?

Congrats to the "not a good team" Big Green on your 4-0 start.
