Yep. Maryland responded. Good win.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 3:33 pmMaryland does not need any rental players as the core you had returning from last year are great, especially on defense and let's face it, the MD coach right now is probably the best d1 coach, and his in game adjustments are always winning ones. You also probably have a Fogo and Goalie that are top 5 in the country or higher.FiveZeroEight wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 3:19 pm“‘Team’ prevails over rental players” lol. MD as usual is scary good and an obvious NC contender again. Great win today. Congrats.

Congratulations to Dartmouth, and to the Cornell Big Red. It looks like the Big Red are rounding nicely into shape.
Reality-check losses for Penn, Princeton and Yale. I've seen Yale come out of the gates slowly before, but not as badly as today, when the 1st quarter hole was just too deep for the Bulldogs to dig themselves out. With Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State posting big wins today, Hop looking improved and The Ohio State strong, the Big 10 is certainly looking like a top lacrosse conference.

Didn’t Yale and Princeton lose this very same weekend last season?FannOLax wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 3:57 pm Congratulations to Dartmouth, and to the Cornell Big Red. It looks like the Big Red are rounding nicely into shape.

Penn beat Duke last year I believe. All the other W/Ls were the same as last year, possibly.FannOLax wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 5:16 pmYes.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 4:55 pmDidn’t Yale and Princeton lose this very same weekend last season?FannOLax wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 3:57 pm Congratulations to Dartmouth, and to the Cornell Big Red. Re: Ivy League 2023
Lower echelon Ivy teams took care of business. With the exception of Cornell, who beat a team they were expected to beat, the top four had problems. Yale almost came back against PSU but just dug themselves into too big a hole too early. Their star showed up a bit late. Penn gave Duke a game at home. The final score of the Princeton-Maryland game reflected the feel of the game. In the first half, Maryland was dominating but the offense took a while to click.

Who are these "top four" that "had problems?" Cornell is not one of them?molo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:03 pm Lower echelon Ivy teams took care of business. Read it again GBR:
With the exception of Cornell, ... the top four had problems.

Thanks. Some of us ACC grads aren’t as stupid as you think we are.

That isn't it, we're just still mad about 1970.

Re: Ivy League 2023
I’m not exactly thrilled about 1971, when we beat the eventual NC in a weekday game. BTW, it’s not Cornell that I have big Ivy hang ups about.

No need to remind me. That’s also the year I graduated. Never fully adjusted to life beyond college. Got old but never matured.
