I love the Big Red as much as anybody, but yesterday's game against Albany was not worthy of a #2 ranking. With a healthy Michael Long and some more practice and games under their belt they may get there, but they are not there now. I have not studied the rest of your rankings carefully, but based on play to date, I'd definitely have Loyola higher.

Hard to see ranking any team above Loyola at the moment, much the less 7 of them. Even if you are an eye-tester.

I am putting loyola at 2 in my poll. I had UVA at 1 last week and since they won convincingly, tough to drop them. I do agree on eye test Loyola looks like best team so far.

The Loyola game was on yet another subscription service, so no eyes were able to see them for an eye test.

But I agree Loyola didn't get enough respect in JoeWillie's ranking.

There are too many games on ESPN+ to not have it and fill out a poll

That ain’t happening here w Joe! We’re talking about a guy who had Mark Gastineau as the #1 Heavyweight boxing contender! (Kidding, I hope, but that d he was on was nasty for a few years, just not 85 bears nasty)

Yeah, Obrien was our QB and everytime we played the Giants, Taylor took his head off. Walton would call in a pass play to Obrien and he'd look over at Taylor who was right up on the line frothing like wolf about to eat its prey and he would audible to a halfback dive, and then walk over to Walton and tell him, Don't send in pass plays with that crazy dude taking my head off everytime I drop back.

Thanks, we seem to agree on most but be prepared to get the same criticism I am getting in not ranking Loyola high enough. I know the RED did not look great but I am not going to drop them after a ROAD WIN in their initial game of the season. It's a win and that right now is good enough for me. Cosmetics come later in the season.

I think early games are a crap shoot. At the end of the day, I expect MD to be a better team than Loyola. And I expect to see Cuse and GTown in the top 10

Taylor was probably the greatest LB ever and that’s coming from a guy who worships at the ground of Singletary, Butkus and Ray Lewis. Unfortunately he didn’t learn the lesson he provides in this clip below until it ended his career prematurely.
