Lacrosse Bets - Week 2

Post by sinman6 »

Lots of juicy lines on DK this week. The lock appears to be Providence at +2.5 against Bryant. I see Providence winning this game by a few after everything Bryant lost last year. But first things first: Duke v. High Point. The books are giving High Point 6.5 points and I am taking the points. High Point has a talented and experienced roster that performed well this past fall. I can see this being a fairly close game.

What are you all thinking?

I am feeling Duke -6.5. Holding off on my decisions on the games later this week. These are the type of games that Dino lets his guys pad their stats. I know HP has had successes in the past against the Dookies, but they have a gaping hole to fill that is the production of Nolting.
Duke -6.5 and O'Neil w 7 points. Book it

Snooker today, lacrosse tomorrow? Although it is probably more likely to start at professional level.

“That means a lot of gamblers bet on snooker. It also means that match fixing is in the mix. Ten elite Chinese players are currently being investigated for throwing games to help somebody cash in some presumably large bets. So here we are: A digital boom in sports gambling — accompanied by bigger incentives for scamsters and crooks to corrupt games — means even something as quaint as snooker can be corrupted.”

"There is nothing more difficult and more dangerous to carry through than initiating changes. One makes enemies of those who prospered under the old order, and only lukewarm support from those who would prosper under the new."

That MD-Loyola spread (Terps -8.5) is ridiculous. If I was a betting person, I'd take Loyola.

-8.5 is def too much for my tastes, but I was so convinced MD -7.5 over Richmond was too much I took Richmond and...well...

The problem comes in,

Maryland gets a huge lead, like the 14-1 lead,
puts in the backups,
the spread gets blown up so the game looks closer
than it was.

it was last year and mostly according to "las vegas lines" (which isn't draftkings), but maryland didn't lose a spread until playoffs last year. pushed notre dame. and then there was last week.

A buck and a dream as they say. It's more fun buying a Powerball ticket. Good luck.

as i said... according to "las vegas bets". which best i could tell is just a twitter link (not a book) that started posting lines a few years ago. they didn't differ much from draftkings, but some. and there were a couple tight ones.

but until hopkins in the b1g tourney, they covered (pushed nd).

Are you or the thread's OP associated with one of these gambling sites?

Personally, I wish this FanDuel turd would be banned from these boards. Nothing more tedious or irritating than a bunch of yobs talking spreads and the like, and I'm suspicious that there are plants trying to drum up business for these sports-book a-holes.

I would say it to them too.

Gambling addicts are like potheads; tedious as f*ck to be around, never stop going on and on...and on and on...and on about their the awesome bud they just scored, or the latest over/under.

If it's really just some innocent knuckleheads looking to throw money away, fine: I don't care what foolish people do with their money. If it's some DK a-hole trying to drum up business on the lax boards, I hope he sits on a car-sized d/ldo.

I have no affiliation with any sportsbook lol. I am an avid college lacrosse fan and believe I have a good sense of what is going on and my goal is to help people that do participate. Take a deep breath man, gambling is no longer back alley operations, its everywhere, do you watch espn? Yes it can get people in trouble, but please refer to the first line of my post "As always, please gamble responsibly". I will reiterate if you are not a fan of it there are plenty of other threads for you
