Fun thing is that fascist won't even apply to the Italians in the 1920's-40's. Not allowed to teach about the National Fascist Party .

Sorry, you're not allowed to teach that in a portion of America.a fan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 9:14 pm....or that we have and had them in America. That Nazi Rally at Madison Square Garden wasn't exactly on the down-low.....NattyBohChamps04 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 9:10 pmIf the jackboot fits...

Appears to be quite a little domestic terrorism effort. Or, are they just misunderstood tourists...Kismet wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 3:02 pm https://www.politico.com/news/2023/02/0 ... d-00081320
"Pair charged with plotting racially-fueled attack on Baltimore power grid
Florida-based neo-Nazi leader and Maryland woman arrested for alleged plan to cause widespread blackouts."
Nope. This is the exact spot for this. Read and comprehend much? Or are you a “FBI-weaponized” nutter?

“ During an interview, RUSSELL admitted to subscribing to “National Socialist,” or Nazi, beliefs, that he had started his own local National Socialist Group called the “Atomwaffen,” that his roommates were members of Atomwaffen, and that he had manufactured the HMTD.
5. The Atomwaffen Division (“AWD”) is known to law enforcement to be a US- based racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist (“RMVE”) group with cells in multiple states. The group’s targets have included racial minorities, the Jewish community, the LGBTQ community, the United States Government, journalists, and critical infrastructure. AWD reportedly has international ties. Since the arrest of RUSSELL and other AWD members, the AWD has renamed itself the National Socialist Order (“NSO”).”
If you aren’t going to bother to read posted material (in this the actual legal document outlining the case), why comment?
Of those surveyed, 10% are "adherents" + 19% are "sympathizers". Next choice is "reject".PizzaSnake wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 10:54 am
"A new survey finds that fewer than a third of Americans, or 29%, qualify as Christian nationalists, and of those, two-thirds define themselves as white evangelicals.
The survey of 6,212 Americans by the Public Religion Research Institute and the Brookings Institution is the largest yet to gauge the size and scope of Christian nationalist beliefs."

Um, the “jack-booted” sobriquet was directed at the officers who arrested the journalist for disturbing the speech of the governor. By that logic, should MTG have been arrested for her verbal ejaculations during the SOTU?old salt wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:42 pmOf those surveyed, 10% are "adherents" + 19% are "sympathizers". If you're open minded, live & let live, non-judgemental, respectful of other's belief, support freedom of religion, & agree with the virtues espoused by Christianity, you're a "sympathizer", when the alternatives are "skeptic" or "rejecter". That does not make them jack booted Nazis.
Survey bias in the range of choices & how they are defined.

Maybe you should dig deeper.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 3:53 pm BUT, 10% of Americans affirm them wholesale, while another 19% aren't willing to reject them. That the affirming is so decidedly white and heavy church goers and less educated is not surprising, nor their media choices, nor their support for Trump, etc.
Predominantly WHITE Christian Nationalists. Big portion is 'evangelical' but I suspect another big chunk is right-wing Catholic. I'd need to dig deeper on that...
And yup, with a way outsized political impact given our two-party construct.
MAGA depends upon these sorts of folks.
Are you saying that you think the hard core conservative Catholics are unlikely to be the second largest group within Christian Nationalist cohort of 29%, behind white evangelicals? I've seen other studies that would suggest that's a sizable chunk of what makes up that group.old salt wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 4:09 pmMaybe you should dig deeper.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 3:53 pm BUT, 10% of Americans affirm them wholesale, while another 19% aren't willing to reject them. You and your buds need to get to work on that "facism", kill those horrible force vaccinations, and see if you can make Measles and Polio "great again".
I'm sure you're up to the challenge.
When my unit deployed to Panama for training in 1980 the US Army lined all of us up in a room and gave us all the shots necessary. I still have my shot record around somewhere. They made us take around a half dozen shots. That was not a request that was an order. There was not a single person in my unit that balked at getting vaccinated.a fan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 10:05 amWe've had mandatory vaccines in every State in America since before you were born.runrussellrun wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 7:06 amfascism is MANDATING, without informed consent, a drug. or nota fan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 9:14 pm....or that we have and had them in America.
