To think that facility is ONLY for lacrosse is unreal. I know recruiting at the service academies ebbs and flows bc of the fact that they are service academes and that is not for everyone but DAMN, those facilities IMHO area game changer!
Re: Navy 2023
does the football team have a facility like this?
Re: Navy 2023
yes. it's hard to believe that's for lax and at an academy. but kudos and hope everyone enjoys it.B10KeepsGrowing wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 5:46 pmTo think that facility is ONLY for lacrosse is unreal. Just finished. Pretty much. https://www.gonavysports.com/ron-terwil ... ntathletes

Probably the best and greatest two-sporter who played both lacrosse and football was Syracuse's Jimmy Brown. Unstoppable and unguardable in lacrosse and a blazing tank on the field. NFL Hall of Famer, won an NFL championship with Cleveland Browns.....10stone5 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 7:31 am Eamon McEneaney played football and lacrosse as well,
though “only” two years football,
Chris Flynn at UPenn, for those who remember him, was a top
As a split end in football, McEneaney lettered as a sophomore and senior, was named to the second All-Ivy team in '76, and led the team in receiving and was second in scoring as a senior. During his two varsity seasons of play, he caught 54 passes for 713 yards and scored seven TDs.

Looks like the 1st floor is elevated a couple feet & is more flood tolerant than the 2nd level.

Wow! Awesome looking facility! Might Navy’s first national title(since the tournament began) be coming sooner than people think?
Re: Navy 2023
Didn’t Eamon play 150 lb FB or whatever they called it?
Re: Navy 2023
Jack Thomas passed for over 3,000 yards in 3 years andNoLeft wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 6:57 pmProbably the best and greatest two-sporter who played both lacrosse and football was Syracuse's Jimmy Brown. Hobart has had many football/lacrosse players over the years.10stone5 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 8:26 amJack Thomas passed for over 3,000 yards in 3 years andNoLeft wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 6:57 pmProbably the best and greatest two-sporter who played both lacrosse and football was Syracuse's Jimmy Brown. That’s going to stop now we’re allowed to give athletic money due to the split divisions.
I played football with a few like Kevin DeWall, Scott Yoder, Tony Aguilar and Jamie Breslin but the best in my time was probably Tim Booth-https://www.leagueathletics.com/Page.as ... h.lacrosse

Going back to the season. One game that really interests me, and which may well have the potential to be very good, is the Villanova game.
Re: Navy 2023
Joe Cowan was also drafted by the Colts
Hopkins had wuite a few multi sport athletes
Navy made a living w football players also playing lacrosse until Spring Football practice became a thing. Bildy expressed the thought that spring football practice really put a dent in their program
Jimmy Lewis was a 3x first team attackman when freshmen could not play. He won the Turnbull three consecutive years his team was undefeated three consecutive years. Navy won three consecutive titles. He was also a first team soccer player. Navy won one title snd reached the semis the other two years. He scored the only goal the year they won

Anyone have an update on the scrimmage today vs Virginia?
All I saw was scores on Twitter. Seems like we were up 6-5 at half.

Nice to see Lacrosse is back on topic here in the navy football forum.

For those no pocket sticks,
you could take a razor and discreetly slice a bit of the inside of
the foam - as long as you weren’t too obvious.
It helped a bit.
