I actually find the Maryland group here to be pretty tolerable, all things considered. Your score went up big time when "Cooter" left. That guy suuuuuuuuucked
Maryland 2023
Re: Maryland 2023
Sure there are. I’ve been on the receiving end of a little anti-UVA stuff myself, but as a UVA guy, what I find most offensive is the snob stuff from the country club subset of UVA fans, the type who would have worn BBTOU buttons as the U moved into the twentieth century while I was there.
BTW, do any Terp fans know what has become of Rob, aka Red White, who used to lead cheers at Maryland home games? Nice guy, partisan Terp fan, he, probably unwittingly, was kind enough to offer a pregame can to a UVA fan.

HA! Forgot about Cooter. I most remember him for arguing in 2017, the year Matt Rambo (emphatically and deservedly) won the Tewaaraton, that Maryland's #2 attackman with about 45 points (he was a third team all-American who had a great career) should have finished second in the voting and that it was a joke that the final 5 included Yale's Ben Reeves who had 80 points. That was some next level homerism. (Of course, there was not a peep from the old Coot when Yale won the National Championship in 2018 and Reeves won the 2018 Tewaaraton. Why do I remember stuff like that? Good question.)
I think both the UVA and Terp faithful on this board conduct themselves very well. Two absolute juggernaut programs.

Do mean JR? He lead the Red/White cheer. He past away a few years ago.molo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 4:33 pm Sure there are. A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

My mistake, it was JR. Sorry ti hear that he’s gone. He was a good guy and a real Terp fan. Got in a zinger when one of the really good 90s UVA teams that couldn’t get past the Tierney NCs came to then Byrd when he chided visitors for wanting to be in the Ivy League.

We open as a 7.5pt favorite.

They did assign #1 .All you have to do is think who would be the best leader on the team.

Is that Larkin in the knee brace watching Tucker shoot?

Re: Maryland 2023
He was a Top 5 national recruit coming out of high school. Expect him to play shorty, joining Coffman and Lacey. The 4th shorty spot will see a lot of competition. Chase Cope played there to start last season but broke his foot. Tills has mentioned Alex Wicks and Geordy Holmes as getting looks there, too.
While not as elite as the 4 shorties last year, this year's shorty group might be pretty damn good.
Re: Maryland 2023
Malever hurt his right knee. Unless I'm seeing that photo transposed, the brace looks like it's on the left knee of that player.AreaLax wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 1:57 pmMy guess is Maleverkeno in reno wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 1:38 pm Is that Larkin in the knee brace watching Tucker shoot?

Looking at roster pics it may be Cope or Aitken. Has a short stick
