I recall a little while back, probably before first suspension, the knuckle dragged asked me what I thought the percentage of unprofessional/ill qualified and poor performing cops was and I suggested 5-15% and he hugged out like it was 1/100th of that. I stand by that, may even be a little low. Think the margin for error in that job should be infinitesimal (below 3% to start), so even 5-8% is highly problematic in my view. Seems like to a degree the adverse selection, like the future of football and the military, not to mention boxing, is pushing that up. We will see.

5%-8% is a huge number as that 5% can go out their way to be problematic. I have a friend that is on the force for a blue collar former mill type town. He said it was open season after Trump was elected. His wife wanted him to quit because she was afraid of “friendly” fire.

I don’t understand why the Chief had to show her badge. The guy may have given them a warning or stepped down the ticket. Didn’t give the officer a chance to let them off before deciding to use her influence. A dumb decision has led to something that was avoidable. Probably will collect a hefty retirement package but it could have ended on her terms. Now “FLP” and MSM will be the bad guys.

Just stupid. I guess the department doesn’t understand the concept of professional courtesy. The police uphold the law volunteering their time. Give her a break.

They were drunk. The guy said they were heading to the club…(to get resupplied). Plus they were in a cart so they wouldn’t get in trouble for driving under the influence. You’d have to be drunk to be stupid enough to flash your card while on camera.

You can get a DUI in a golf cart in most places. Seems like Florida is the same way from a quick search. Carts in my area have to be registered like a car if you're driving it on or across any public streets with limits over 25mph.

Think she was drunk and stupid considering her past and actions. Protecting dear ol hubby who seems to already have issues with DUIs.
