Since it seems like the majority of transfers now are grad students, we should switch the # symbol to denote the less common undergraduate transfer. If there's no # symbol, that means the player is a transferring as a grad student.

Shhhh. we've got a fantasy draft going on right now..
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
For clarification purposes, isn’t 2023 the last year all NCAA schools were granted an extra year for the Covid shortened 2020 season? Therefore current 2023 seniors nationwide missed their freshman 2020 season so there should be a lot of seniors available for one extra year? Next season 2024, only IVY will have one extra year nationwide? Did the NESCAC play in 2021 and if they did not NESCAC current juniors should also have an extra year class of 2024?
Incidentally not sure when schools can accept a transfer listed in the 2023 class but it will be interesting to see how quickly and how many of the Princeton players listed on the portal are taken?

Why so many departures from Princeton?

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Princeton doesn't let you take gap semesters, and you have to graduate within the allotted 4 years (maybe 5 if medical redshirt?). Basically, all these kids graduated on time and are looking to use the 1-2 years of eligibility they have left.
Re: Transfer Portal 2024
So is that a Princeton rule or an Ivy rule? And are the Princeton transfers eligible to play this spring?

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
It’s a Princeton rule. Harvard’s withdrawal and re-enrollment policy may be the same but I am not certain. Penn and Yale seem to be different. Those players are all graduating from Princeton before utilizing whatever eligibility they have left. Been known for a year or two. None of it is a surprise to any player.
“I wish you would!”

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Yeager, Alviti, and Jacobs are all good players, in addition to the aforementioned Princeton guys.
Wonder if Breschi takes a speculative flier on Miezan given he was originally committed to UNC lax. Reeder meanwhile was a Cornell commit under Milliman before switching to Stanford football

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Wonder if Canfield will follow Bernhardt to Maryland. He was one of the better kept secrets in college lacrosse on the LSM/Close D side. Best LSM in Florida in my opinion his last two years in high school and is a Vermont captain for the upcoming season.
By the way, where do you find the Transfer Portal online?
