This is total bulls**t for Atlanta!
You mean it was colder today n Atlanta than in Buffalo?

Lacrosse is the reason I can enjoy shoveling snow without harming my back. Scoop through and keep the back hand down.
Dude I’ve got a gas fireplace insert on, basically an overpriced side heater, in our living room coal fireplace (because they aren’t deep enough to be converted).

And, as a kid in Binghamton on a hill that blew the damn snow uphill and would stop at my driveways cause the above grade house stopped it I learned about f**king ones back up. There was one like Feb of 94 when I was a stud my high school athlete and was in pain for 3 days. I was like John Henry just digging out because it covered ground through feeling of garage door entrance.

I always found “bad” weather separated the boys from the men…

The worse it was the more I enjoyed punishing the faint of heart. 35 degrees and a light rain is perfect soccer and lacrosse weather.

Meanwhile, here in the Cuse snowblowers remain silent, snow shovels are upright and dry, and snowplows sit idly by in their toasty garage bays. Nary a flake.
These snowfalls bring back memories of the winter '77, brutal is understating, drove me out of the State, moved to Va. Beach.
'66 was a bad one too.

Be thankful you missed it. Was my last year of playing lacrosse and it was absolutely miserable.

Have fun today....I am sitting here preparing for a drive south to Florida, with a sttop in NC and maybe South Ga/Bama, just to make it a lot less stressful (I effing hate driving) over 2 to 3 days, doberman in tow as well. My point, I miss the days of being out there with my boys just practicing and watching them have fun. Afterwards, hit Dunkin Donuts for a sour-cream donut and some hot coco and just chat; priceless.

Finally got the drive cleared with blower and shovel. Took three tries with heart healthy breaks for Camels, LaBatt Blues and Polish snausages. Wet snow on bottom makes it much tougher.

My North Buffalo neighborhood is up to about 15” after overnight storm. A mere dusting compared to the southtown suburbs in the middle of the traditional lake effect belt. Orchard Park, home of the Bills, leads with 77” as of 7am followed by neighboring Hamburg with 73”. Those two towns are traditional WNY lacrosse communities.

You have to wonder why the current Bills stadium and the planned new stadium are in Orchard Park which usually gets the most snow compared to the once proposed facility near downtown.

as, if you don’t mind me asking, which model did you get? How long does it run on one battery charge?

Asking for a friend who is rapidly approaching the big 70 and has about had it with shoveling.

Thanks.
Bill -- I've had good luck with both Greenworks and Ego electric tools -- mower, leaf blower, weed whacker, hedge trimmer, snow blower. Sooooo much nicer to use than gas fired. Much quieter. With the gas snow blower, I have to remember to fire it up on Labor Day each year. It often doesn't fire up, but then I have a couple months to get it serviced before the snow comes. If I forget the Labor Day start up, then I discover the dead blower after the first big snow falls.

With electric, no tune ups required. Push a button and it always starts.

The most bang for buck is if you adopt one brand for multiple tools. The batteries are all interchangeable, and buying incremental bare tools (without battery and charger) is pretty inexpensive.

As long as you have a couple of bateries to cycle, your run time is basically unlimited.

Thanks. Now all I need to do is go out and buy one. Will guarantee we don't get any snow this year.

Miss those days too. And I have really come to loathe driving. Still stop at the Dunks.

It was fun, clinic for new kids. My son helped as an “experienced” peer. Got them to have fun while getting them to try two man game and king of nest and GB battle to pass and shoot and the kids had smiles on their faces at the end with some committing to play in the spring.

It’s important because I only realized this a few weeks ago blowing through old emails from when I was asked to start coaching but this is the only inside the city program and is feeding the development of the Atlanta HS programs so I now realize this is building the future of lacrosse in town. Not just the dbag suburban teams where they pull down tons of 13yr olds to 4th/5th and prioritize winning early over development. So

A. It wasn’t that bad I’m just a biyach.
B. It was well worth it to pick up a handful of new kids who are going to take these free clinics and try to make it a part of their next spring/fall league teams.

Like I said before feel free to hit me up if you are within a manageable distance of
