Fetterman was one of the most impressive spokesmen for the democrats during the 2020 ballot count - IMO. He is being judged based on his stroke.

Even Democrats criticized Hobbs and her supposedly incompetent campaign, especially her decision to avoid a debate, for which Lake criticized her for weeks on end.

Just keeping the race close is impressive. But if Hobbs actually wins? Wow.

Hobbs will win. They may call it for her later tonight.

They just called Sec of State for Nevada for the dems -- no vote denying POS, another one loses!

The Odd one didn't realize he was referring to a Jersey shop in Pennsylvania. What a dummy!
I've met Oz Bengur back when he was in business, investment banking, with a friend in the '90's, and then decided to get into politics. I went to a small strategy fundraiser for him, pre-run. I liked him, figured he'd be left of me but reasonable, understood business etc...but then he introduced to the group his top campaign strategist who I knew was one of the worst, race-baiting African American political advisors, more grifter than anything else...I had to tell him that I couldn't support him if he was going down that rathole.

Bengur definitely knows what crudite is, total BS to say he didn't. I don't like his act, and it's indeed an act, on the Young Turks. The gal seems much sharper and less of a jerk, though she dips her toe in jerk-ness too. But Bengur goes all-in.

But yeah, Fetterman nailed Oz with that totally self-owned gaffe video. Perfectly showed the contrast.
Do you except an unrelenting advocate who cares more about winning himself than having a honest dialogue to listen to moderate and open sources of information? Or claim to be an intellectual and more thoughtful while still operating in an echo chamber?

Good joke stupid people piling on like their cool. + for fetterman for nailing the delivery, - for people who act like smug jerks.
yup.

I used to live in Pennsylvania but knew hardly anything about Fetterman except he looked like something from a federal penitentiary. It wasn’t until a few days ago that I found out he went to Albright then got a MBA from UConn and a maters in Public Policy from Harvard which would seem to serve him well in politics. Perhaps some don’t like him because he became a Big Brother to a boy whose mother was dying of AIDS. He’s not exactly my idea of a model candidate, but at least he’s a Pennsylvanian.

One thing I know is that this election proves PA is still Pennsyltucky. Fetterman wins most of the major population centers Philadelphia Co. isn’t interested in any of Oz’s nonsense giving him a measly 16%. Smacked down in Pittsburgh too.

There is a lot of Tim Ryan and Sherrod Brown in Fetterman. He will do better in the red counties in 6 years.

He is painfully dumb, well before a stroke. His accomplishments to date are....well, absolutely nothing. He lived off of his parents til 50. His wife is a self declared socialist. His tenure as a mayor (his first job) was an unmitigated disaster.

You can say a ton of things about Oz, but dumb isn't one. He likely would have been much less of an attention hog than some feared. I obviously would have preferred David McCormick, someone I've met several times, a very impressive person. And I doubt Oz would have stayed past one term. But Oz at the very least embraces constitutional law and norms, something Democrats apparently are fast tossing overboard in their bizarre embrace of power for power's sake. What a spectacle.

Fetterman is an absolute embarrassment, for everyone, including those who swear he isn't the dolt he clearly is. It will be painful watching this overgrown lurch stumble his phraseology for six years. He won't know what he's voting for or against, any more than a memory care patient with advanced dementia understands what they're eating day to day.

God help us, man. What an unmitigated disaster.
Don’t worry. If Fetterman’s health doesn’t permit him to continue to serve, he can resign, and Governor Shapiro can appoint Larry Krasner as his replacement. I’m sure you’ll like him better. ;)

Too bad Wisconsin did not vote Blue for Senate. How can they possibly allow a puke like Ron Johnson to win? I realize that he won by only a small margin but still, it's a disgrace.

Barnes wasn’t a great general election candidate for Wisconsin. Someone more moderate dem probably would have knocked off ronjon.

Race baiting is a repukeblicon specialty. Had a Dem done that his own party would have kicked him out. But to the GOPukies that's a good strategy. Moral Christianity be damned.

He didnt win against a weak and beatable ronjon. So he wasn’t a good general election candidate. Scoreboard.

Tim Ryan would have steamrolled Johnson. Strong candidate.

HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
NOV 13

A little before 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, NBC called Nevada’s tight Senate race for the incumbent: Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto. Cortez Masto defeated Adam Laxalt, a former attorney general for the state, whom former president Trump had endorsed.

This means that the Democrats keep control of the Senate.

Democrats will have 50 votes in the new Congress just as they did in the current one, enabling Vice President Kamala Harris to break ties in their favor.

Harris may not need to break ties, though, if the last Senate seat goes to the Democrats. That last seat is the one outstanding seat from Georgia. In the election there, Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock garnered about 35,000 more votes than Trump-endorsed Republican Herschel Walker, but neither man won 50% of the vote. Under Georgia law, this forces a runoff, which will be held on December 6. Walker is a deeply flawed candidate, and now that his election cannot give the Republicans control of the Senate, it is not clear that voters will turn out for him.

As of late October, NPR reported that outside groups had spent almost a billion dollars on the campaigns of Republican Senate candidates, hoping to take control of that body. Key to that desire for control was control of the judiciary, where the right wing has entrenched itself as it has become increasingly extreme and unpopular. Even without control of the House—which is still unclear as election officials continue to count votes—Democratic control of the Senate means that President Joe Biden will be able to continue confirming judges.

After the Nevada race was called, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters that the victory was “a vindication for Democrats, our agenda, and…for the American people.” He explained: “The American people rejected the antidemocratic extremist MAGA Republicans.”

You like a man with multiple personalities, CTE, lies, is
stupid and is a token to do the bidding of his superiors
So says elmopetey the person here with multiple aliases/personalities.
He can't be any worse than Rand Paul....
I bet you just adore Hershel Walker - also a person of many personalities.

I ask again what is the purpose of a penalty box if the admins are going to allow sanctioned perps to re-up a new account and proceed to do the same sh*t that they were banned for in the first place? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Does anyone else think it hilarious and appropriate that the Dems won the Senate was announced in the middle of Tiffany Trump's wedding?

Ever been around Sayre or Mansfield PA? I once financed a Kmart anchored strip mall in a town called Oil City. Now the center is anchored by tumbleweeds and the town is called anachronistic.

That 78 corridor which ain’t that far from Philly as well as large chunks of the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos all are pretty “salt of the earth” mindsets as well.

One thing I know is the baseball player Dick Allen would not be a great statewide candidate.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul

Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah
