Muskafeller’s a real gem. We really need those Civics classes. NYS property taxes are a horror so he’s voting Zeldin for Guv. Because NYS property taxes - the lion’s percentage of which are school taxes - are all LOCAL taxes controlled by LOCAL government and local representation. Nothing to do with the governor or state government.
We are all so screwed by ignorant voters.

Re: 2022 Midterms
Just some reference data to filter tomorrow's results.
1994 -- GOP +54 House; +8 Senate. Clinton re-elected in 1996.
2010 -- GOP +63 House; +6 Senate. Obama re-elected in 2012.
2018 -- Dem +41 House; GOP +2 Denate. Trump not re-elected.
GOP probably takes control of both houses. But not some big wave/mandate. And will tell us basically nothing about 2024. So mostly noise and little signal.
Hey Pennsylvania -- could you please change your dumb *ss law that says you can't start ballot processing/counting until election day? Plenty of states of all colors (AZ, CO, FL, KS, NV, UT) do it the right way. They start weeks in advance. Which is the only normal way to do it.

Boycott stupid. If you ignore the gator troll, eventually he'll just go back under his bridge.

Chef Boyardee is not that cheap anymore, ...if you can find any on the empty shelves.

Life was better when women were barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen to you anyways so why you worrying about Chef Boyardee? Was it the move in those brilliant basket of tech stocks you crowed about for years as if it were financial wizardry?
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: 2022 Midterms
I disagree with you 100%. UNFUNDED MANDATES passed down to local counties exacerbate the tax burden on most middle class New Yorkers that actually pay taxes. Nobody knows where these despicable mandates come from in Albany. They do command local counties to spend the money on programs that they demand. The last I remember, and I could be off a bit, but 80% of the tax burden in NYS counties is MANDATED spending which is money passed on to residents by ridiculously high property taxes. That is what the Monroe County executives have been fighting for a long time. The most recent county executive Adam Bello, a Democrat does not complain about the ever increasing tax burden via property taxes on local residents to pay for those ornery little UNFUNDED MANDATES. If the state of NY believes this money is vital, let them pay for it. UNFUNDED MANDATES by anonymous people who answer to no one need to stop. My wife and I see it increasing every year in our property taxes. The good news for me being a US Army veteran my town allows me a decent STAR exemption and reduction in my tax burden to the town. To those young folks with a family that are considering moving to my town.. good luck to all of you.SCLaxAttack wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 7:59 pm Muskafeller’s a real gem. My first wife rarely wore shoes when she was pregnant. It wasn't because we couldn't afford shoes, she preferred going barefoot on a warm sunny day. There was also that anomaly that some pregnant woman suffer with.. swollen feet.. that might explain the desire to go barefoot.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:14 am Life was better when women were barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen to you anyways so why you worrying about Chef Boyardee? I preferred Franco American canned spaghetti when I was growing up. Sadly the "wise guys" would have called it noodles with ketchup.

Re: 2022 Midterms
You can buy a pound of spaghetti and a large jar of sauce for under 4 dollars. If you know how to boil water and own pots and pans you have dinner for 4 at your finger tips. If you want to add sausage or meatballs you can buy em frozen but that will double the price of dinner.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:42 amhttps://shop.foodlion.com/product/80292 ... 91&irgwc=1

If you're paying attention, you see the GOP everywhere greasing the skids to distrust and, as necessary, try to invalidate election results. This is now the marquee feature of the GOP: If we win, seems OK; if we lose, they cheated. And all of you voting for GOP candidates -- Zeldin perhaps chief among them -- are literally complicit in this destabilization of the country:

So what you are saying counselor is this... let the foolishness begin... IMO having had to listen to all this campaign nonsense for months now from both sides there is more than enough criticism to go around. I honestly don't care at this point in time who wins or who loses. SSDD... is all it amounts to.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:57 am If you're paying attention, you see the GOP everywhere greasing the skids to distrust and, as necessary, try to invalidate election results. It's perfect that you boil down politics and the various choices to this sort of blather. Seriously, it suits you. All your blather seems to add up to "who cares, everybody is against poor little C&S." Hope no one is mean to you today.cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:58 amhttps://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... 2867fc86f7Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:52 amThis is as stupid as poor McCain latching onto Joe the Plumber. Re: 2022 Midterms
I'll be out in the backyard today with Roxy raking and bagging all those leaves from the maple tree. My blather is a condensed synopsis of the choices both sides have been blathering about for months now... our side is good, their side is bad. Nobody is against me counselor, I don't care what the results are because it does not matter a hill of beans in my book. If anyone is mean to me today I will just hit them over the head with my rake.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 7:05 amIt's perfect that you boil down politics and the various choices to this sort of blather. I have never eaten any type of pasta out of a can in my life. Old Salt intimated that it’s hard to find chef boyardee and it is expensive.cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 6:56 amYou can buy a pound of spaghetti and a large jar of sauce for under 4 dollars. It may also be your stupidest response ever. I guess that makes us even. That is also saying something... Go out and vote and help save the country. You have a wonderful day as well... I'm guessing that I have 30 bags of leaves in my back yard... FTR a good day is probably not in my future...Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 7:06 amPerfect; this may be your stupidest post yet.
