If he responded to this we'd have real problems in the FFG household given the 9:36 time stamp...
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

But thank you all for welcoming him, you'll all like him a lot more than me no doubt.

Can we please pick up the pace a little? This is getting excruciating.

I keep thinking there has to be a more efficient way.

We could cut the time in half and if the owner foes not pick before the window closes they lose their pick or at expiration the pick is made by Matt using the approach he uses now. Mo catching up and shorter lead time. The lost pick is made up at rhe end of the draft. Trying to stimulate discussion.

By the time i have 4 picks before me i have a list of five. Easy to send to Matt and say here are my potential picks ranked. Take the highest. A little prep would probably speed the draft.

In the event this year is this year.

Doesn't everyone have some form of list? Shouldn't take forever as long as you are in an area with internet access...

Like you, I have a list. Can't say 100% who I'll pick when it's my turn but it's narrowed down to 2-3 all but immediately and, within minutes, down to 2 and, within another few minutes after some cursory internet searches, down to 1. Whole process takes no more than 10 minutes. I dunno...

Just sent an e-mail to the upcoming picks. This may be the issue. People need reminders. Maybe.

The delay problem comes (for me, anyway) from the unpredictability of knowing when you'll be up. If it happens to be when I'm out of pocket for a few days (like on my recent turn), everyone ends up waiting my entire 24-hour period because I didn't realize I was up because I wasn't logged on and checking and it came around to me quicker than I had estimated. Maybe when someone knows they'll be out of pocket for a period, they could drop Mat a note saying they're out, along with a list just in case their turn comes up while they're out. That's what I'll do from now on.

40 picks in two weeks is moving along nicely. Catching up if you run your clock out is the right penalty IMO.

sounds good.

I think it being early November plays a role in slowing things down. No real urgency, the dead line is far on the horizon.

Next Nov i will be out of the country. I will need to figure out the best way to handle it. I expect it will involve sending Matt a list before I leave.
