That story you found is from a quite disreputable source (it claimed Hillary was dead and a doppelganger was sent to debate Trump for example).RedFromMI wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:24 pmTry thisyouthathletics wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:13 pmLink? I found it when searching twitter b/c Kismet mentioned Musk was tweeting conspiracy theories, with no links. And, it is also embedded in the link you shared, specifically tweet number 9 from Matt Gertz: https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/15 ... 4yrjXdYTZQRedFromMI wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:25 pmThat story you found is from a quite disreputable source (it claimed Hillary was dead and a doppelganger was sent to debate Trump for example).RedFromMI wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:24 pmTry thisyouthathletics wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:13 pmLink? It's not true and that news source is just not credible - stopped clock analogy. BTW, Musk deleted the tweet without any explanation, which is why you cannot find it, other than through a search of others trying to show how Musk is going to twist Twitter to allow unfounded and untrue crap back on the site.youthathletics wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:45 pmI found it when searching twitter b/c Kismet mentioned Musk was tweeting conspiracy theories, with no links. If you want something that is actually true - Paul Pelosi used the excuse to go to the bathroom where his phone was charging and called 911. He could not say much as the perpetrator was just outside, but left the call open and over the next few minutes the dispatchers heard enough to send in the cops (took them 2 minutes to arrive from that point and a total of 6 minutes after Pelosi left the call).
You can find the recording now online of the 911 call.

My predictions are as good as anyones, which is to say mediocre at best over the long run trending towards the median. But I posted all that becuase Twitter is going to be the TWA to Elon's Howard Hughes and bring everything down.

Hughes at least had sh*t tons of tangible assets and land holdings that due to migration patterns within the US, are gold.

You’re supposed to stop faking it once you make it. I’d have thought made it would’ve been accomplished by, I don’t know, maybe the tenth or fifteenth billion of net worth. Maybe I’m lowballing it though…jhu72 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 6:09 pm... I would not be surprised. I had the same thought. Well he claimed Elon’s counsel would steamroll Twitter..wonder what they billed for their work???a fan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 8:05 pm Petey owes me a steak dinner. So do a ton of posters who claimed that if Elon were in charge censorship would disappear, and twitter would be a public service. Nope! To wit.....
In a message to advertisers on Twitter on Thursday, Mr. Musk said he was buying the company to “have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner.” He said Twitter “cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences!” Mr. Musk said in addition to following laws, Twitter must be “warm and welcoming to all.”
This sound like a F'ing "town square" to anyone STUPID enough to think that's what twitter is? Before his chair is warm, the new boss spells out who calls the shots on twitter, and it ain't the user, and it's in this order:
1. the advertisers
2. the freaking owner of the platform
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. He's telling you that his team will indeed censor posts....just like the old crew. And like the old crew? It's a private press----no one can tell Elon what he MUST allow on his platform. Just like the old crew.
So we've moved from one group of Valley 1%ers owning twitter....to a "different" group of Valley 1%ers owning twitter.
And for both groups? The user is the product.
Not possible. Twitter is a happy-huggy "town square" that lives to serve America, YA, and has no other priority.youthathletics wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 9:23 pm Musk finding cookies in the cookie jar: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/158 ... rb4xktRw1A
