As I was saying, this is only the second time in league history that a coach selected a D with their first pick. Last season, SU D with the 5th overall pick... and they put up -33 Points. Not good. What can you say? Maddog loves the color orange...

Pick # Team -
1 1.1 Lax1 Andrew McAdorey FR M Duke
2 1.2 dfaganlax916 Chris Kavanagh FR A Notre Dame
3 1.3 NC Lax Griffin Schutz FR A UVA
4 1.4 NJLaxx11 Keegan Khan SR A Maryland
5 1.5 Maddog Syracuse D

Not only is it not a first, but it also happened last year! Maddog selected the Syracuse defense with the 5th pick overall. FCA must think this strategy will work well for him, unlike how it worked for Maddog.

Like UK said, FCA can do this because of what he has on his roster. He literally kills the draft every season. Last year he got Shane Knobloch and he sniped me on Sam English in the first 2 rounds. Defense was probably his weak spot last season. So he fixed that.
FCA returns a complete roster, complemented by an excellent midfield draft last year. Drafting G'Town D makes perfect sense.

He didn't draft any freshman last season, so no sophomores on the roster yet

ADD Andrew Perry SO M Harvard
DROP Logan Wisnauskas A Maryland

Unlike FCA, I almost need to pick an entire new team and needs points this year.

The pick many probably expect

Mac Haley Freshman Attack Navy

Mac Haley falls into the category of “has to play immediately.” Per IL.

Even if all your GRADs (below) are actually GRADs, you're not in such bad shape. Post-Perry, you need an A and an M. Not so bad. Not so good but not so bad. Some teams get decimated due to graduations. Poor planning...

Nobody expected that pick. PA, while you've had some success, though limited, with picking up Sophomore Midshipmen (after they played some preseason games), grabbing a freshman is new territory for you. Mac Haley will likely be a bigger fail than the SU D in 2022 and, as you will probably hold onto him for the coming 4 seasons, may even tank your squad indefinitely. Big mistake. BIG mistake.

Ohmi picks twice and the we head back up the river. Notice that CalLax will get his extra pick at the end of the 2nd Round.

Eric Malever's injury/redshirting on top of a lot grads will make this an important draft year for me.

Does anyone know if Ryan Swain is returning to Towson? I think he graduated, but can't find any confirmation.

It's not funny. It's sad. I feel for PA Talk. On the positive side, at least this season he drafted a player that plays lacrosse. Progress...

This is a legit question. How is he eligible to play in 2023? If the NCAA says he can play 5 years, he's Fantasy eligible and... How is the NCAA saying he's OK to play another season? I don't get it... https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m- ... ack-myers/
What’s the question here? He’s played 3 full seasons (2019, 2021, 2022) plus the covid year which didn’t count against eligibility. Why wouldn’t he be allowed to play another year? Straightforward application of the extra year of eligibility.

I mean when I brought it up I was just joking cause feels like he’s been around ages! ;)

The Georgetown and Mac Haley picks must have flustered Ohmi. Ohmi is back to the drawing board :)

Understood and... That's exactly it. In that 2020 non-season, he played 7 games and put up big points. That 2020 season makes some players seem like they've been around forever.
