Maryland 2023
Re: Maryland 2023
Malever was on the sideline with a knee sleeve and walking with a limp. No braces or crutches.
Re: Maryland 2023
I noticed 2, 3, 6 and I thought it was 48, but maybe it was
just Kelly number 45, in the second game on offense.
And also, 14 has a real nice quick lefty stick,
DeMaio like stick work.

Re: Maryland 2023
The IL article made the injury seem catastrophic. ACL tear with minor meniscus damage (not an MCL tear). The tibia fracture is healed. He's going to have a full year to recover before the start of the 2024 season. He'll be back and be stronger.

Kid from Bowdoin, Mulane definitely looked comfortableAreaLax wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 8:00 pmThis tweet has the roster. Players wore their jersey number except Makar wore 13

behind the net,
and Koras with the fancy lefty stick work,
Dawson Wynne 48 looked capable of just blowing past
people at midfield.
Re: Maryland 2023
Jack McDonald who I mistook for Larkin against Cornell is playing well. Seems so much quicker and faster than last year. Terp D as many have mentioned, will be formidable. Goal tending depth is impressive. Schaller is going to be as good as his ranking. SSDM play was good despite the physical differences between the teams. If Trader plays, they won’t replace last years foursome but will be very good. I thought Wicks played well and he certainly has speed. Offense certainly was stifled by the best players in the USA but was expected in my view. In the 2nd game it got more physical but Terps kept playing through it. So glad to see Spanos back he will be a handful to guard. It was certainly challenging to find much inside against the USA. Offense will get better with the shooters we have and our speed. Once again Aitken was impressive. I can understand why Tierney was testy about losing him
Re: Maryland 2023
Heard the schedule will very similar to last year but playing at reverse sites. I have not seen it.
Re: Maryland 2023
FO specialist 2024 Jonah Carrier has committed to Maryland.
Re: Maryland 2023
Curious if they maybe drop Albany and try and get an improved team on the schedule there. They haven't been an additive value to the schedule in 4 years, 5 by next year. It would make sense to search for an improvement. Rest all make sense to keep.

Are they doing the Capital Classic again this year? Terps-Georgetown at Audi Field would be pretty cool.

Re: Maryland 2023
Sounds like they are still on the schedule. Hearing there is a different drop and pick up
Re: Maryland 2023
Pretty sure it was a home-and-home with Albany. Looks like almost every game last year was the same, so UVA down in Cville (unless Lars wants to do a neutral site again), ND and Cuse to College Park, Princeton up in NJ, and Loyola at Ridley. That's a fun schedule so no complaints.

Nice. If UVa is a “home”-and-home, then sounds like High Point would be the only other potential change.AreaLax wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:06 pmHeard they are scrimmaging GeorgetownMoralTerpitude wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:26 pm Are they doing the Capital Classic again this year? Doubt that it would have mattered, but the Terps had almost all of their top opponents at home (ND being the exception), in and out of conference. Guess the bill for that comes due this year.

Big fan of Turtle lax here, just excited to join this chat and kick it back with the people. In honor of Sunday and the art of reflection, I really would love to share one of my favorite collectors videos growing up as a young pup. I am a big collector myself and this always provided inspiration to keep going. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to reply with any other cool collectors videos you have archived. https://youtu.be/zKe1ze2TYGE

I don't know what that has to do with lacrosse, but I have a feeling this video will be useful to you. You're welcome.

“To me that’s how you grow when you get challenged like that. One of the most overrated things in lacrosse is fall lacrosse scores,” Maryland head coach John Tillman said postgame. “For a guy like Brett Makar or Logan McNaney, you’re not getting a lot out of today because you know what they can do. It’s more about who’s going to be that third guy?”
“Matt Rahill’s gone, somebody is going to have to take that spot. Who are our attackmen going to be? What other guys offensively, are getting what we’ve been teaching and can have the poise and wherewithal to play in a stage like this. That’s where I think you get so much out of today, it’s not so much about winning and losing. It’s about getting a feel for your team and who’s ready to play or potentially play? Who’s improved from last year and who’s ready to take that next step?”
