Welp,
at least the confirmations are coming in that this transfer is
happening,
but a shame that he can’t play this year —
was looking forward to Weisshaar, DeMaio, Berkeley, Herbert.

Any idea as to why? Regardless its a great grab for the tigers going forward. That's not correct, He's from the 2020 class, and they did not get the COVID year (they hadn't graduated HS yet). If he doesn't play this year though, he will still have 2 years of eligibility.Ol'Southlacrosse wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 12:03 pmAny idea as to why? Re: Towson 2023
I could be wrong but, I'm pretty sure that they got an extra year because of uncertainty for non traditional sports. I know that's how it worked at the D3 level- so I would assume it goes for all levels.Laxhog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 1:16 pmThat's not correct, He's from the 2020 class, and they did not get the COVID year (they hadn't graduated HS yet). that is for fall and winter sports. because spring (2020) sports had already been granted it.Ol'Southlacrosse wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 1:22 pm ttps://www.dailycardinal.com/article/2021/09/b ... ligibility
division 3 granted another exemption year for spring 2021, but other divisions didn't. or at least division 1 didn't.
i have no idea if he's playing or not. but if he isn't, having extra eligibility years might not matter much.

with that foursome of DeMaio, Weisshaar, Berkeley, Herbert —
Tigers will be as competitive as anyone for several years,
I would have preferred to see that combo this year to compete
with the Hens who’ve really escalated things.
Between the Hens and the Tigers, I’m not sure the CAA is
going to miss UMass departing for the A-10 all that much.
My impression of Nadelen’s recruiting,
he is all-in on the transfer portal combined with going all-in on
one top 100 type freshman per year — Weisshaar this year, Constantinides last year — its a very interesting approach based on Towson’s own unique circumstances.
Re: Towson 2023
Not sure why everything is so secretive. The fall roster should be out shortly on the internet. Last year, it wasn't out until December. All I know we have John Kiracofe from Michigan, Cole Herbert might not be playing next season and no clue about any other transfers.
Re: Towson 2023
Sounds like Kiracofe is the only transfer. As for Herbert, he is not on the football or lacrosse roster right now, but let's hope that him not participating in the Fall will make him want to play in the SpringMath1234 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 10:23 pm Not sure why everything is so secretive. Re: Towson 2023
Question isn’t intended to be critical of Towson. Curious, Hobart’s had a lot of younger brothers play, some very good, with better younger brothers ending up elsewhere. We never really get the younger brother so interested to see if that’s a real strategy that can work like it sometimes does in BB/FB.10stone5 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 1:26 pmTowson guys need to answer this,Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 10:47 amDoes weishaar come if his brother isn’t there?10stone5 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 9:38 pmAgain,Laxhog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 1:16 pmThat's not correct, He's from the 2020 class, and they did not get the COVID year (they hadn't graduated HS yet). Looks like Towson's cross town rival matchup is no more. That's really unfortunate.

The last 2 years the Duke game has been ugly. If you are not getting possessions vs these types of teams it’s a long day.

Last year’s high end OOC teams,
Hopkins, Duke, Denver, Richmond, Loyola, UVA, St. Joe’s —
just add one more high end team in place ofHopkins and should Duke drop off — that should do it now that there are extra in
conference games that must be played.
