Post by Terpslax1991 »

I taped it last night ….but it was the girls. Any replays? YouTube? Where did it play live?

Lots a crafty type players on offense, which means the coaching these young men are receiving is not the traditional old school lacrosse...'the way it was' type. The game is finally evolving into higher IQ players...basetball-esque.

I was amazed to hear that USNA allowed a Plebe to leave the yard to participate in the game.....certainly come a long way with 3 weeks still remaining.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Interesting. Per the stats, looks like Larkin played as a two-way mid - 1G 1A 4GB, was on the first-line starting midfield.

If you set record of the girl’s UA game, which is what I did,
you should have gotten the boy’s game auto recorded as
well.
Check your Library, if you have Youtube TV.

He’s got a serious motor.

And some Adler-esque surgical stick checks.

Matt Dunn is Larkin high school coach. Here is a better comparison

I saw that play, highly unusual maneuver,

but coaches / players were bound to come up with something to
counter the deep pocket sticks where it can be virtually impossible at times to check the ball out of the stick,

as Dixon said, not a move you want to pull covering a man behind the cage.

not that unusual by top guys a number of decades ago, the kayak isn't new. it is highly unusual nowadays at the collegiate or h.s. level.

here's tommy kehoe a little while ago:

any check where:
- the o guy is at a spot he can't get his hands free for a shot before you can reset
- you can keep your feet moving and be able to reset

is fine if you have the talent. behind the cage qualifies in this example... or at 40 yds, where larkin was.

Larkin’s kayak was ridiculously smooth, by the second check on Spallina reminded me of the Adler check in the second half of the Princeton game this year.
