Do not give Cordingley any room around the crease.

Morrisette is just crazy good.
10-6 Cordingly on a nice goal, Evans on a FPS.

Not a doctor, didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express either, but that didn't look like a shake it off I'll be ready to go in a couple of days limp. Really hope I'm wrong, just a bummer.

Damn that's a huge bummer. Was looking forward to watching her in the AU league.

Doc, that comment wasn't about yours, it was about a play Team USA made, think it was another one of their beautifully executed fast breaks.

Shame, the BTB goal Treanor just scored is nuts.
Mr, Seacoaster, just wanted to make sure you realized I was kidding here, the replay is available on ESPN2. Certainly not a competitive game but there's some awfully pretty stuff to see in it.
Hope the journey was a success and all returned to home port safe and sound.

njbill wrote: Tue Jul 05, 2022 8:46 pm What is with all these illegal sticks from North? Three so far in the tournament. I guess the international refs are haters, too. Uh, oh. Incoming diatribe from CO after he works on it for three weeks.
I shared a substantive post explaining why your take on North being chastised by her teammates was a fabrication. As per usual, you respond with an attack on me, not on the merits of the post. Someone with manners, confidence and integrity acknowledges when they are wrong. You were wrong on CN winning the Tewaaraton in each of the last two years and dead wrong on her making and excelling on the national team. As I’ve said many times, I don’t understand your odd obsession with criticizing this young woman. You don’t like how she plays. Got it. We all heard you the first 20 times you said that. Time to move on. You are embarrassing yourself further by imagining this chastising silliness.

And I don't understand your ODD problem with people who choose not to view Charlotte North the way that you and ONW do. What is your freaking issue? You DO NOT have to respond to everyone who disagrees with you. Simply chalk it up to them not seeing what you see...and keep it moving. You are NOT going to change Bill's mind about CN. He is simply not a fan of how she plays. I have told you this before, but you just will not accept that. Trying to humiliate him and others is not going to help you in the least.
Bill has manners and integrity...he just is not a CN fan. OKAY? Accept it and move on.
So let me see if I understand your rules. Someone can post outright lies about a player, but if I calmly explain why they are wrong, I am the bad guy. Let’s see if you have sufficient integrity to weigh in on the original fabrication. Do you think that CN was playing hero ball and was chastised by her teammates at the 13:20 mark of this video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BnwrXi9epQ

For your reference, Bill’s original take on the play was this: “Did you notice in the first half of the game the other night when she went rogue and turned into me-first Charlotte? She scored, but her senior teammates, instead of hugging her as normally occurs after a goal, clearly were chastising her for selfish play. And then the coaches took her out shortly thereafter.”

I saw absolutely nothing on that...nothing. Is that the play he was referring to? Are you sure? That was nothing to even comment about either way.

And once again, he does not have to like Charlotte North. It is not a requirement of this Forum, just like it wasn't a requirement to like Northwestern on the LaxPower Forum.
I appreciate your honesty, Larry, even as it contradicts a friend. I am 99% sure that is the play to which he was referring, but regardless, there was no chastising after any other goal. I will continue to make substantive rebuttals or observations if I agree or disagree with a post, just as everyone else here does. CN is the #1 most talked about player on the planet in women’s lacrosse. Why should discussion about her be taken off the table? The vast majority of lacrosse fans spend most of their time admiring her talents, innovation, energy and positive influence on young women. Some here choose to focus instead on her flaws, which is their right, but they should also expect to hear rebuttals. You and I may disagree on this point, but I just don’t buy into the idea that someone can lie about her, but I am not allowed to respond.

To give credit where it’s due, Bill has become much measured in his assessment of CN during this tournament. I think that is in spite of, not due to, my takes. Bu poking him so often, I probably slowed down that evolution. (Insert Dale Carnegie joke here.) I understand he is unlikely to ever say: CO was right and I was wrong about CN. But I sincerely respect him for slipping in some compliments now and again. He is a stubborn old fart like me, so I know firsthand that pride is tough to swallow.

If World rules are still the same, she cannot be replaced on the roster by another healthy player who was not on the original submitted roster on the first day of the tournament.

Love the fact that we have the world games to watch, very much looking forward to the UA competition too. When thinking of the days of yore and the availability of wlax for viewing fans you have to be mighty appreciative of what we get today.
Wlax is pretty much blowing me away. It feels to me like a fireworks display and the game is still in the sparklers and lady fingers stage with the big bangs and grand finale yet to come. The first time I picked up a stick I was absolutely hooked in about five seconds, I loved everything about it. The feel, the balance, the rhythm....everything just felt right and fun about this thing. Then playing the game was equally thrilling. Point of that is that I'm sure many young girls have had the same experience but the game of yore that was offered to them wasn't so thrilling (no disrespect to the game intended) and many of them just dropped the game (I know this to be the case with many). When they pick up a stick then watch this/these games I highly doubt that many of them are going to put it down because the game just doesn't offer them enough. I can't help but think that there is going to be a monstrous explosion in the popularity and number of girls playing lacrosse (I know it's already happening but we aint seen nuthin yet). For the 10,000th time (not saying it will be the last) thank god for the rules changes in wlax, they really got it right. Just a fantastic game and please, please, please never even entertain the thought of bringing the perverted men's sticks to the game, you've got the sticks right too.

Why do teams have alternates, then? The two American alternates have been on the sidelines of all of the games. Maybe there is a time frame for replacing an injured player, but I can’t think of any other reason for there to be alternates.
