There are so many ‘racists’ and ‘bigots’ in the red states (blue states are perfect), it’s a wonder we survive.

BINGO!!! Those of us that said all along Joe was that carton of milk tucked into the back of the refrigerator ten years passed the expiration date were right all along. The Republicans have to be peeing their pants hoping that Joe runs for another term.

C&S...you couple the past few administrations, most importantly Trump and now Biden, and it certainly makes one (at least me) question if the goal all along is to tear the fabric of our democracy apart. Name something that is sacred to the core of our democracy that has not been chipped away or minimized into questioned chaos or having lost merit/validity. "

The slowness of updates in this thread is testament to just how much better Biden is. He's awful, but miles better than what the other side gave us. Hooray for the two party system giving us tweedle middling and tweedle terrible.

And, well, the fact that both sides of the media are finally exposing his piss poor tenure thus far.

Not possible. You guys have been telling us that the US media is in on a massive conspiracy to support Dems, and take down R's. That they would NEVER do things like run non-stop stories on inflation, and imply it's all the President's fault.youthathletics wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 2:20 pm And, well, the fact that both sides of the media are finally exposing his tick poor tenure thus far.

On occasion, someone comes along that just downright proves the Peter Principle theory (Biden delivers)....so much so, you just can no-longer ignore it, otherwise you become you fall with him.

Re: The Biden - Harris Era.
Nope. Name a major negative Biden issue. I'll get you a story on it in under 15 seconds.
This is nonsense that Republicans use to justify sh*tty governance. They're upset when folks call BS on their team's work. They kept talking about Covid deaths, non-stop, during Biden's first year. Trumpists claimed that wouldn't happen. Nope. Media was all over Covid deaths. Scoreboard.
How much have you heard about gas prices this year? And putting it all at Biden's feet? Again, non stop.
How much have you heard about inflation this year? And putting it all at Biden's feet?
How hard was Biden hammered for having the stones to get out of Afghanistan? Yet where are all the stories about how we've had zero US military casualties since we left that hellhole? The media is "in on it", right? They're covering for Dems, right? So where's that story?
There isn't one. Why? Because 1. there isn't a Dem media conspiracy. 2. if it bleeds, it leads. So what do we hear about instead? Mass shootings at schools, and "what's Biden gonna do about it".
And where are the glorious stories about the Infrastructure Bill if the media is colluding with Dems?
I don't like Biden, as you very well know. And I've been getting a steady media diet of "Biden's doing it wrong" from day one.
Nonsense. Complete nonsense.youthathletics wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 2:57 pm ..but only this time it is affecting their livlihoods, not to mention its a major election cycle....so they have no choice.

This is what passes for “discussion” among Conservatives. All the while, a feckless GOP doesn’t even pretend to governance or policy.

Nonsense, shmonsense. All that matters is votes and ratings to pols and media. When you tune out of CNN or MSNBC and they sense it, they have to reel you back in, somehow. Trump no longer sells, but of course they likely have a quota on his name being dropped at least a few times each episode. Now Stelter has on Gene Sperling who can't admit inflation impacts him..... #priceless.

Yep, I saw that. Total facepalm. This is big reason why we don't have a functioning economy----people don't understand basic concepts.kramerica.inc wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 3:36 pmAnother face palm moment, In case you missed this one:a fan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 10:08 pmFacepalmyouthathletics wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 4:24 pm He might me worse than Trump by handpicking stats to inflate his ego: https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/sta ... mLcOjDT6iA

Who the heck can't answer that?
We've been borrowing money---this pumps too much American currency into the system, which over time, devalues said currency.
Taxing it returns money to the US Treasury, taking it out of the system, which increases the value of the money left in the system.
But that's not what's causing the current inflation IMHO. It's a shortage of pretty much everything on a global level....supply not keeping up with demand.
BTW, if you don't agree that taxing the rich would reduce inflation? That means you don't blame Biden's spending for our current inflation.
But yes: facepalm. And I don't know who the heck the R's are going to nominate that's gonna be any better. Do you ?

Feel free to get back to such exciting in-depth liberal virtue signals...I mean, "discussions" that center around:
-the best facemasks to wear alone in your car,
-the illness that your son has "but we know it's not COVID because we tested him twice, I swear."
-the new gender identity of the 3-year old down the street,
-where to place your "love is love" bumper sticker on the new Subaru Outback,
-and the plight and strife of the noble, undocumented young man who weeds your duplex in the gated community...for such a reasonable rate- "I can see if he can do some work for you too!"
All stolen from actual conversations my in-laws have had around my dinner table...

It's time for people to learn patience or enjoying/trying off-brands. Or better yet- start going without!
Its really a shame that the left mistimed their move. If only they had more E-cars ready and waiting for the gas cost increase.
That coulda made a bigger dent in lowering emissions...Opportunity lost.
Who are the R's gonna nominate? Beats me. Anyone I like probably wouldn't make it out of the primary. And Kasich is too busy making podcasts.
