Re: Nassau Section VIII
Manhasset up 8-1 on a pretty good South Side squad after 1Q. Bad taste in their mouths.
FINAL
Manhasset 14
South Side 8
Cyclones win last 3 quarters 7-6. Indians were unable to sustain the early intensity. South Side faceoff man more than held his own vs. Girard (who, it looked like, may have had his bell rung on the opening draw). Manhasset’s best save if the night was made by Diskin who relieved Im with just under 3:00 to go.

I'm praying Terenzi stays healthy. He'll be a welcome addition to the HOOS next year. That guy can play! For a middie to get 5 assists speaks to his versatility. In 2006 a UVA FO midfielder named Drew Thompson had 23 assists and 19 goals in 2006.fordmaddoxford wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 6:27 pm Manhasset up 8-1 on a pretty good South Side squad after 1Q. Wondering if Terenzi's assists came from inverting behind or on fast breaks and face offs. Either way, he's going to get plenty of PT next year.

He likes to invert behind quite a bit, he's talented enough to do so. It's likely they came that way.wahoomurf wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 8:46 pmI'm praying Terenzi stays healthy. The UVA team has 7 or 8 players that have the green light to invert whenever they choose. Tiffany looks for chaps like Terenzi that can fit right in.JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 10:59 amHe likes to invert behind quite a bit, he's talented enough to do so. Another interesting statistic - Every single game between the top four teams in Nassau (Farmingdale, Massapequa, Port & Syosset), including the three playoff games was a one goal game.

Manhasset vs Mount Sinai 6/4/2022 530PM at Hofstra University!
Hopeful that it will be as exciting game as it was last year, but am well aware that it will be a tall task to stop the Mustangs this year. If The Indians can slow the game down and dominate faceoff possession, they are absolutely capable of beating The Mustangs. Just can't let the supporting cast on Mount Sinai beat them, Spallina is going to get his.

Where was Dawson Rielly today? All hands needed for Saturday. Beating Mt. Sinai won’t be any easier for Manhasset if they do not have their leading scorer.JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:49 pm Manhasset vs Mount Sinai 6/4/2022 530PM at Hofstra University!

Set girls in a rematch from last LIC too with Bayport BP. Both looking to avenge one goal losses. Hope they both get it done, arguably the girls have the better chance. Two good gamesJoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:49 pm Manhasset vs Mount Sinai 6/4/2022 530PM at Hofstra University!

Agreed 100%. Would like to see both get it done. Set girls are really rounding into form!flyerfan17 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:27 pmSet girls in a rematch from last LIC too with Bayport BP. GC girls will defend their LIC title once again. A scary thought as the level of Girls play in Suffolk County is amazing. For example, 11 players from Suffolk County were on the rosters of NC and BC in the Womens finals.

Agree that GC will defend their LIC Title. But they will not get past Victor for NYS Class B Title. Victor is arguably the best team in the entire nation this season, their only loss being an 8-7 thriller to the greatest Darien Team I have ever seen. That was two days after beating New Canaan, who just recently handed Darien their only loss in the FCIAC Final. Any other year maybe, but this is not the GC squad to do it.
