We might need a NE West 1 twitter handle to repost the score updates from the individual school accounts. The MIAA has this. Hmmm. What if a few of us shared the account and followed a handful of schools each? Wouldn't be much of a burden. Anyone in with me? @newest1lax here we come.
Great idea. I'd play. LMK when you have it established.

Thanks, MD and Greich. PM's sent. For everyone else, we'll post when we have the twitter account up and running, hoping to post as many scores as quickly as possible.

Off Lax commitment lists because he is highly ranked by NHL Central Scouting and (unfortunately) won't likely play College Lax.
Looks like he's committed to University of North Dakota for hockey.

Pretty busy day tomorrow for most of the teams, here's what I could find for the schedule:

Deerfield at Berkshire: Berk is better but an 0-2 Deerfield will be tough to stop. DA takes this 10-3

Trinity-Pawling vs. Loomis: Looking at the scrimmage results, TP actually lost to New Fairfield? I know Marty has a pretty good senior class, but NF is a tiny school, that is disappointing result unless TP was playing all frosh and soph. Meanwhile Loomis appears to be on the rise (one reported injury notwithstanding). I'll take Loomis 12-9.

Brunswick at Kent: not a lot to say about this one. A lot to a little and our continued wish for Kent to drop to NE West 2 falls on deaf ears.

Non-League games:

Salisbury vs. Haverford, 6:30pm at Rutgers. This should be an excellent game. We know Salisbury is stacked, and the Fords have some good wins under their belt. I'll take Salisbury, 12-7.

Avon vs. Belmont Hill: Hard to tell with this game, Avon comes in 2-0 and BH hasn't played a game yet. But Belmont Hill did play DA tough in a scrimmage, and they are a perennial ISL contender. Should be an exciting game, I'll say Belmont Hill takes this in a tight one, 8-7.

We will try to post scores on Twitter from @newest1lax. If you know any scores, @ us and we will forward them on. There is a huge disparity between the different school twitter accounts, so any updates would be helpful.

Hold on now ctbag!... you're flip, flopping your TP prediction from earlier!

That's ok, games haven't started yet!

Rumor--fair enough! That TP "loss" to NF in a scrimmage just came as a huge shock to me. Someone might need to call Nasty a doctor if TP doesn't shake that one off.

I haven't seen anything on either school's site. Neutral site game (Clark University), so it doesn't really fall under either school's operation. Hope you can find a link, post it here if you do.

Snuck a peak at the Brunswick Deerfield game highlights.

Obviously hard to judge on nothing but highlights, but the starting attack and middies from Brunswick towered over their DA opponents. A very noticeable difference. BTW< Wick has some very good outside shooters.

Welp…..Taft doesn’t have a FOGO that can keep up with Army’s guy. Already sending in a pole to take faces in Q1. 6-4 Army end of 1.

Taft went up and led until the last minute of the 1st Q. Apparently the Rhinos have 5 D1 committed Attackmen and their D seems scattered (lotsa open shots by the soldiers) and the keeper is either feeling shell shocked already or isn’t really NEWestI quality.

Feeling anxious.

TP's up 6-4 in the 2nd
AOF tied 5-5 at half
Wick's up 6-0 after 1
MAPS & Taft 9-9 mid 2nd

Re: Taft. This is a basketball game. 18 points in the first half and neither team seems able to stop the other. I'd bet on the soldiers, though, because their keeper has made some saves and their FOGO wins every time

Re Taft: I'm not sure What the heck the refs are up to. Been officiating 16 years, and I don't see what they're calling. It goes both ways, though....

How are MAPS numbers? Obviously the service school kids are in insane shape but I have seen MAPS and NAPS games where they are only dressing 13-14 kids and they can't help but get run down. If that is the case and this continues as a track meet it might favor the Rhinos in the 4th.
