TV election campaigns have started here in Lake Wobegone. As usual the McCarthyites in the Puke party continually assert that the Dems and their agenda are all "socialist". And, of course, the Demmies refuse to point out that the farm belt and corporations are the biggest welfare queens in the state.
Every time we have a Dem governor, the state gets a massive surplus. Every time we have a Pukie at the Capitol, we have a massive debt. At the moment we have a record surplus. Naturally the Dems refuse to make the governor's successful agenda a part of their campaign. If they would ever learn to run a campaign properly they would win every office in the state.

Yeah, Evers is doing just great!
Wisconsin saw a 62% increase in murders, and the violent crime rate per 100,000 people in rose 8.85% between 2019 and 2020.

Re: 2022 Midterms
Wisconsin legislature has run by Republicans since 2011, kept in power via gerrymandering. Evers doesn't have a ton of say in Wisconsin politics.
From 2019-2020 (yes, under Trump), the US saw the largest increase in murder rate from in more than a century, possibly ever. Florida's numbers were very high under DeSantis and Republican leadership, close to the US average.
It's almost like a once-in-a-century event happened in 2020, causing major economic and societal upheaval. In addition to a major nationwide drug epidemic. But that doesn't mesh with one person's never-ending drive to pin every single problem in America on the libs for fun or because he's eaten a little too much of the far right media apple.

Translation: vote Republican if you're so f*cking stupid that you think murders don't happen under Republican rule.
Fat lot of good Voting Republican did in Florida today, Petey......
1 dead, 3 injured in shooting at Osceola County market
Shooting happened in front of a market on Old Dixie Highway
Why do you keep trolling? Why not just calmly explain that D's and R's aren't all that different, and the leadership in both parties are playing you, Pete?
Is it SO difficult?

Everybody knew what a clown trump was. You keep forgetting you chose the queen of evil to run against him. The loser trump beat her evil ass fair and square. You haven't gotten over that humiliating defeat yet...

I understand the antipathy for Clinton, but you are or, at least seem to be, willfully ignoring how many people actually bought Trump's various cons...and still are. I was never at any point conned by trump. He was by far the lesser of 2 evils. I have said this a 1000 times. HRC was the only candidate the Dems could choose that gave trump ANY chance of winning. The Dems sorely underestimated the contempt so many people have for her. I'm not sure the Democrats understand why they lost. Trump understood which states he had to have and his campaign focused on those states. The Clinton people were so arrogant because they thought the election was in the bag. It was the complacency at the hands of the Democrats that gave us trump. The rank amateur pulled one over on the career politician.. go figure and the tortoise beat the hare.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 7:57 pmI understand the antipathy for Clinton, but you are or, at least seem to be, willfully ignoring how many people actually bought Trump's various cons...and still are. I'm not ignoring the many who are trump maniacs. I do understand WHY. Your party invited a scumbag like trump because all of you establishment old school, namby pamby mittens o romney types who don't have the intestinal fortitude to get in the face of liberal Democrats alienated you from your own base. You don't even need a college diploma to understand it. The problem with your perspective MD is you don't understand 98.9% of your own party disagrees with your vision for your party. That could be why you will NEVER be invited to any RNC convention nor would they ever let you speak. That is a pretty sad state of affairs for a guy who by his own opinion claims to represent the right path for the Republican party and has been a loyal dedicated member for decades.

Bolded above is very perceptive. It explains why guys like MD dislike a person like Desantis so much; Desantis refuses to be cowed by the left, like the namby pamby types did and do. They hate him because he’s no bs.
