Great job by the ESPN crew getting their microphones in there.

In my old profession and in seacoaster’s current one, clients always want their lawyers to provide added value. Andie Aldave provides added value.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why no one wants to play Stony Brook. They are the toughest of outs.

That was a fun game to watch.

Classy comment by Joe in the handshake line: “win the whole thing ladies.“
Re: Quarterfinal: UNC vs SBU @ 7:30pm
...and UNC-Stony Brook is the closest game of the 4. Not what I would've guessed...

You can take the boy out of Long Island ……

This was the game I was worried about when I saw Stony Brook at the #8 seed. They are always a tough out. Let’s go Heels!!

So I guess the "answer" to the extended out zone was ball movement, skips when you saw them, and patiently waiting to feed Aldave in the middle of the Eight...and hoping Andy could finish. Kind of helped that Moreno, Trenchard, Nalls and Co. held SBU to five goals. Nalls is quite a player.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:51 pmYes, they got one very early on. Stony Brook has been able to pick off a few passes and I’m wondering if it’s making them a little hesitant to make the skip passSeacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:49 pmThey have to attack the weak side, and look for FPS opportunities. But the zone is pressing out to the 12. Very tough challenge here for UNC.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:38 pmIt looks very goodSeacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:29 pm Huh. 4-3 SBU at the half. Someone’s gotta figure out the zone.

Maryland
Northwestern

Yeah I noticed they posted Aldave up in the middle - it’s a good answer to “break the backer”, or render it less effective, since they have to now also take Aldave into account. Still, 17 TOs was very uncharacteristic for UNC. Nalls has really come into her own this seasonSeacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 6:24 amSo I guess the "answer" to the extended out zone was ball movement, skips when you saw them, and patiently waiting to feed Aldave in the middle of the Eight...and hoping Andy could finish. I think SB played the game of their life. Unc looked Ill prepared against zone. Way too many TOs but had a great ride that shaved a lot of time off SB possessions . Didn’t feel that SB had the offensive fire power they needed . Missing TO and AK from last year . Trenchard did a good job keeping Hart off scoreboard .wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 8:42 amYeah I noticed they posted Aldave up in the middle - it’s a good answer to “break the backer”, or render it less effective, since they have to now also take Aldave into account.
