I do too. I’ve heard the Hoyas are going to be big winners on that front.Wheels wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 10:20 pm The common thread tying the UVA game to the UD game is athleticism. UVA gobbled up the attack unit last year because no Hoya could run past any of the long poles. UVA pressed way out last year. This year, the attack couldn't draw a slide anywhere near GLE.
I suspect a one-year grad transfer from upstate NY will solve this problem.

Rumors on the portal thread of Brian Minicus from Colgate to Gtown. Colgates leading scorer. Don’t know much else about him.
Re: Georgetown 2022
He's really fast, shifty, and an accurate shooter as described by a defenseman who guarded him. The rich keep getting richer.

Ty Xanders@tyxanders·1m Former @UNCMensLacrosse attackman Jacob Kelly will join @HoyasMLacrosse as a grad transfer in 2023, multiple sources confirmed to @Inside_Lacrosse earlier today. A captain this spring, the lefty had 55 goals and 36 assists during his career and started 38 games for the Heels.

Re: Georgetown 2022
I noted in the Tewaarton thread that Chris Gray scored or assisted on 50% of UNC's goals this season, which led the nation. Brian Minicus was the only other player above 45% at 47.2% -- simply put he was the Colgate offense. This would be a big get and if he and Dordevic are both indeed coming, that would give Georgetown two proven initiators from the attack position, which is exactly what they were missing against Delaware (both have also played midfield extensively as well, which would give the staff more flexibility in crafting the offensive groupings).
Re: Georgetown 2022
Some real catches,
Hincks, Kelly, Dordevic, Minicus - should they all come to pass.

Re: Georgetown 2022
If you have those three additions to the offensive side of ball,
Hincks coming as an HM AA in cage to battle Scharfenberger and hopefully one surprise returner, along with a stacked incoming class, the Hoyas could be pretty formidable despite the graduation losses.

I believe that the offense would be more versatile if these grad transfers happen. Would be faster and more mobile on attack.HGK wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 10:16 pm If you have those three additions to the offensive side of ball,

Also, would the “surprise” returner be someone other than McDermott, who is reportedly likely to come back?
Re: Georgetown 2022
Penn State just announced they added Providence’s face off guy, so maybe Reilly stays?
Re: Georgetown 2022
Yes as I was not implying Mcdermott as he is coming back…Jldlax wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:04 amI believe that the offense would be more versatile if these grad transfers happen. Man, you Hoya fans are troopers. Moved on from the loss like it was nothing. Us Terps fans like to wallow in our misery for weeks, if not months. I salute your resilience.

I would anticipate this happening as he is already accepted to Georgetown MBA.Hoya wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:32 pmColgate’s website flat out says he’s going to Georgetown.
