Peter, You actually had me getting a little nervous about Vermont. In an hour, can you start scaring me about Virginia? Seems to be good luck. All in fun.

I’ll be here, telling you to focus on whoever is in front of you, today not tomorrow.

Got to give Tillman credit. He’s got everyone hungry to play.

I was looking forward to watching McConvey. He's heading to C"ville next year and was eager to see where he could fit in.

So far......

True. Maryland is playing at a different level .Great balance of talent , also in a good place both physically and mentally. Don't see UVA or any team being able to beat them . It's their year .

Gonna be a BIG adjustment going from the America East to the ACC. Granted there are very few defenders as good as Makar, but it's still a massive adjustment to make. I think he probably winds up like Charlie Bertrand did for you guys, he'll be a solid contributor, but I'm not sure he's an AA type guy.

Crazy that this the second time this year they’ve been winning a game 18-3. In addition to 19-2 and 22-4 leads.

Btw is this the first game Tygh has taken over before the 4th quarter, besides Albany?

Largest margin of victory for Maryland in an NCAA tournament game ever. Just dominant. Not just on offense but the defense absolutely controlled Vermont.

Love listening to Jules Heningburg btw. He’s engaging, and even made this snoozer of a game entertaining. And he doesn’t talk about his “good old days” incessantly like others do….

Heningburg is really solid, bright future. Regarding the UVa goalie, he saw him play extensively in high school, so the commentary is relevant. Ultimately, as mentioned, for any team to beat Maryland, their FOGO and goalie are going to have to really perform well. So once again that makes sense in this context.

In the post game interview Coach Tillman mentioned how the NCAA only allows them to play 32 players in a tournament game. What a shame in a game like this that some guys did not get a chance to get on the field...especially if they were seniors.

Thanks. I was curious about that. Some of those guys don’t see any action. And clearly all of them could have seen the field today at some point. Hope they post that interview on YouTube soon.

Thanks for posting that -- not something I was aware of. Seems grudging and not-student-friendly (Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the National Collegiate Athletic Association!).

Terp fans: a few questions if anyone can help.

has this team been down a few goals in any game this year?

If so, What’s the largest deficit they’ve overcome?

Ohio State. I believe they were down 7-3 in the second quarter.

Only games they’ve trailed are Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State. Only Ohio State was for a substantial period of time.

The Terps were scary today. Granted Vermont isn’t the strongest deepest horse in the field but I thought it would be a little closer. Vermont never had a chance. They were outclassed at the face off x, on defense, GBs and goalie play. Vermont couldn’t clear or slide and the keeper was l was left out to drive. Maryland shut down 60 goal Vermont scorer McConvey and held him to an assist. Vermont is a rising program but they have a long, long way to go to be competitive against Maryland. It starts with recruiting. How many Under Armor All Americans on both squads ? Vermont: one ( goalie Ryan Cornell) Maryland: 18.
