Round 2: Duke v. Maryland 5/15 @ 2:30
If Duke turns the ball over 20 times, they are toast. Have to play much better to compete with a team at home on the Weird Surface. Expect Maryland to advance.

Game has been moved to 1 because of bad weather moving in tomorrow

i think Duke upsets Maryland here. Duke is hot and cold but when they get hot they can be dangerous, especially if Jenner dominates at the draw. Maryland is on a high, Duke the underdog..the ingredients are all there..marinating in a pot

As much as I would enjoy a repeat performance of last years win, I don't think Duke will be able to put together enough of a 60 minute game without any stretches of either taking their foot off the gas and coasting while the other team takes back the momentum, or the turnovers. Maryland has been playing relatively mistake free ball this year. I think they will be the more consistent team for the win. Even though I would love the upset, I think this is usually where Duke bows out. I'd be glad to eat crow on this one.Kleizaster wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 11:52 pm i think Duke upsets Maryland here. Agreed; I'm not seeing a Duke win here, I guess unless the Jenner factor really comes into play. Maryland will make the draws a circle scrum, and try to keep Maddie from reaching up to the heavens and grab the little gold ball herself. Maryland 15-12.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 5:08 amAs much as I would enjoy a repeat performance of last years win, I don't think Duke will be able to put together enough of a 60 minute game without any stretches of either taking their foot off the gas and coasting while the other team takes back the momentum, or the turnovers. 15-5 Maryland at the half. Terps dominated the draw so much that Jenner was taken out. Duke didn't have possession for a nine minute stretch in the second quarter.

Tsk tsk – these marginal ACC teams—Virginia, Duke, Notre Dame. Always with the early exit in the tournament – whether they schedule tough, middling or weak out of conference games for the regular season – they all end up in the same place—walking out of the tournament with heads bowed in resignation.

Again…an unseeded team losing to the 2 seed is an early exit??…OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 2:32 pmTsk tsk – these marginal ACC teams—Virginia, Duke, Notre Dame. Nope. It's what is "supposed" to happen. And no one's head is "bowed in resignation." You know that if you've played or coached.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 2:37 pmAgain…an unseeded team losing to the 2 seed is an early exit??…OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 2:32 pmTsk tsk – these marginal ACC teams—Virginia, Duke, Notre Dame.
