Petro had to go. Post Rabil you can argue he had the 2010 graduating class, the ranagan group, the shack group, the marr/williams/foley group, and now the lyne/epstein group with some overlap there and there was a familiar pattern of hyped recruits and may disappointment. The program needed a different voice.
PM, Grant jr, jameson know this offseason is an important one for progress, and the 2 lineup changes we saw on offense plus the way this group was throttled by better competition should be an indication to them of how far they are and what they really have w/the roster.

Why include me on the list? I have been advocating for Milliman to get more aggressive recruiting on the transfer portal. Hopkins can’t wait for HS recruits to arrive and spend a couple of years developing into elite players.

You guys act like Milliman's on a weight loss program and all he needs to do is decide to take more Zumba classess. I think - unless Collison/Marquis/English etc. make their mark as freshmen you are going to be drastically disappointed in this massive overhaul.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
When was the last time Hopkins had zero All American's?
I don't think that was correct. Your fogo deserved consideration in my opinion.

Will note those were the US Lax Mag picks, not the USILA ones nor even the IL/media picks. Not that those will be any different.
I'd add Degnon to Smith as someone who deserves consideration — if Handley and Campbell and other "midfielders" who play every offensive possession are still counted as middies then Degnon should be too and 40 goals for a midfielder is easily AA territory.
Smith's numbers meanwhile blow basically all of the HM close defensemen out of the water and our defense is statistically better than several of those that received honors as well. Worth mentioning but not something to get up in arms over. If they want All-Americans they have to do better as a team

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
they do not want to go into year 4 w 3 straight missed ncaa tournaments when the acc is down. They might not get a year 4 w/that.51percentcorn wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 1:31 pm You guys act like Milliman's on a weight loss program and all he needs to do is decide to take more Zumba classess. Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
I'm expecting you are going to be disappointed. I'm sure there will be some guys going out to other programs and maybe a guy or two in but the current roster is the one you are going to see out there plus the incoming freshman. Hopkins has done nothing to demonstrate they will be a good spot for a top player to walk into that wants to compete for a championship.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
I don't know if it's true or not but there sure is a lot of chatter out there about Milliman's practice times. Apparently it's all based around picking up his kids from school.
If that's true...

Expect some slight, targeted, schedule changes, not to get more wins or become NCAA eligible, but for OTHER reasons.jhu06 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 6:51 pmthey do not want to go into year 4 w 3 straight missed ncaa tournaments when the acc is down. JHU is adding:
MSM- "re-igniting a strong in-state tradition."
Mercer- "Getting in front of GA hs recruits and growing the JHU brand with kids who might not know our name."
Dartmouth- "We want another chance to compete against a team from the best conference in college lacrosse."
Hampden- "Continuing to grow the game with a HBCU."
Wagner- "Getting in front of NY kids and furthering the recruiting pipeline to NY."

Mercers got a kid coming in, Jason Knoxs younger brother, who may be the next Goldsmith. Riley Knox.
