Carc, Quint, and Anish will all be voting a big fat ZERO, so when that category jumps by 3, you will know the 3 meatballs just sent in their votes.

I actually think that a well rested Harvard team could pull 1 of the first upsets in the tournament. Remember, their last loss I believe was an unbelievable OT loss, where they played awesome.

CQ&A like to invoke the "eye test." I was at the Yale v Harvard game and Harvard definitely looked to me like they belong in this tournament (funny thing is, so were CQ&A, but...). I haven't seen Rutgers in person, so I'm not going to go so far as to predict an upset. But if Rutgers doesn't play their best, watch out!joewillie78 wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:48 amI actually think that a well rested Harvard team could pull 1 of the first upsets in the tournament. i wouldn't call the Harvard W an upset. Or, at best, a minor upset. Harvard and Rutgers, based on their performances in the 2022 season, are all but equal.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:48 amI actually think that a well rested Harvard team could pull 1 of the first upsets in the tournament...

In order of confidence they win
(1) Princeton
(2) Yale
(3) Penn
(4) Cornell
(5) Brown
(6) Harvard
I think all of them can win. All of them also can lose because every team they’re playing is good, this is a crazy deep bracket after the play in games and even Vermont and Delaware aren’t bad. I think Princeton and Yale win, I feel like there’s one upset so maybe that’s Richmond > Penn? Cornell and Brown split, Harvard loses.
I’ll go 3-4.

Re: POLL: How many Ivy teams win in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament?
Penn over a very good Richmond team I see as the most likely win of the six Ivy games. My guess overall is 4-2.
Re: POLL: How many Ivy teams win in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament?
Ivy strongly favored
Yale over St. Joe's
Penn over Richmond -- assuming Penn is healthy
Princeton over Boston
Slight Ivy Favor
Cornell over Ohio State
Opponent strongly favored
Rutgers over Harvard
Virginia over Brown
Penn has looked to be the best team in the IL recently, but Richmond is probably underrated. If Penn is healthy, they could be playing on Memorial Day.
Ohio State v. Cornell is hard because I think OSU may be a decent team. Slight edge to Cornell, I think.
Virginia should be favored, but the travel factor combined with the goalie situation gives Brown a chance.
At this time of year, it's worth remembering that preseason expectations are often excellent predictors of postseason success. The preseason rankings favor Yale, Penn, Cornell, and Princeton.

IMHO ND would be favorites over all 12 of these teams - maybe UPenn would be a pick 'emHoxwurth wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 9:56 am Ivy strongly favored

Too bad ND is not playing. What’s up with the counterfactual obsession? Ohio St beat ND head to head.
We are witnessing peak ND fanboy love.

Re: POLL: How many Ivy teams win in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament?
You can't base your selections on head-to-head. You need to base your selections on each team's resume, their entire body of work in 2022. Based on their bodies of work, ND should've gotten in over OSU. I believe...
