a bit dramatic. if it's straight rpi, the ivies should have a leg.up on deciphering.

I disagree. When all the ACC teams were making the tourney, RPI was a great measure. Now that 6 Ivies are in the top 12 RPI and only 2 ACC teams, RPI should no longer be an important selection factor, according to some. The Ivy League will need a couple first round wins to justify their selection in reliance upon RPI as an important factor.

Ironic that institutions involved in the invention of the the 'gentlemen's agreement' may now be subject to an unspoken quota system.

But anyway, if 4 Ivies is this year's quota,
Yale
Penn
Princeton

Brown or Cornell?

3 acc teams are in the top 8 at large. if it's rpi, the acc conference is in fine shape.

"according to some". who are these people?

I have no idea or view of the ILT Championship game, other than it's a "coin flip" of a game. I do have a few questions:

1. On Friday, both winning goalies brought their A+ game. Can they each do this again?

2. Penn's Big Man, Sam Handley, left it all on the field on Friday night, going (3,4) for 7 points. Did he leave enough in reserve for Sunday afternoon?

3. Matt Brandau had a quiet night against Cornell with two points (1,1). Does he rebound?

4. Yale dug relatively deep into the roster, with 10 players scoring. Can they accomplish this again?

5. With geographic proximity in their favor, Yale was likely able to retreat to their impressive recovery facilities to get ready for the game. Could this help them, or can Penn accomplish similar results on the road?

6. Finally, Coach Murphy vs Coach Shay. Both have been here before, and are wise stewards of their teams energies and resources. What type of difference will coaching make.

I'm sure that there are other issues. Best of luck to both teams.

then they don't seem to be very smart. but as they're vaguely unidentifiable, it will be tough to get them help.

LAF has 5 ivies. 3 big ten. 2 ACC. Duke first out.

Brown, OSU near locks, but if Duke were to steal a bid, it would be from one of these two.

Windy a.s. in the stands, field is somewhat more protected. Long clearing passes could be an issue.

Boston U, Brown and Bryant have incorrect logos.

I'm interested in how they arrived at this allocation; I guess the model is privileging QWF over RPI? If you look at the straight RPI on the same site, Duke is ranked ahead of Virginia, Brown, OSU, and Notre Dame.

Maybe the RPI hasn't been updated to reflect yesterday's results?

His formula is not straight RPI. It’s an algorithm of RPI, QWF, and SOS. So if they use straight RPI it will be wrong.

His formula is listed here:

Someone needs to tell him that 53 out of 56 is not 99%.

While you're at it, you might mention that Princeton, who didn't even qualify for the ILT, doesn't have a 17.70% chance of earning the Ivy's AQ.

Yeah, looks like the numbers haven’t been updated to account for the conference champions. Have to take them with a grain of salt until they are updated.

I get that it hasn't been updated to reflect the games from this weekend, but Princeton's AQ chances have been 0 for over a week now.

Oddly, Princeton had near-40% chance prior to the Cornell game, so the odds were updated after their loss to Cornell.

Looks like they were partially updated last night. Obviously, Maryland should have 100% for “AQ.”

Poor Penn. Someone should tell them that they only have a 4.6% chance of grabbing that AQ.

Penn with a dominant win today. Burkinshaw, Handley and Gergar outstanding. Congratulations! Looking forward to the selection show. Should be interesting.
