I was looking at CNU roster to see why they are so good this year. I guess having (10) 5th year players makes a difference. WOW

Dont think there will be any surprises of the winners of tomorrows games. Hope they all aren't 25-5 games.

Unfortunately I think it will be blowouts across the board again.

Here's to hoping that Goucher vs Drew isnt a blowout! Starting the drive up there soon

Also hoping that this is a competitive game.

I believe that this game will be won on the defensive end of the field for each team. If Goucher's defense and their goalie can manage Wilkie and DeMayo and hold the Rangers to under 7 or 8 goals, they have a chance.
On the other side, Drew has some very solid poles and, if they can contain Halverson and Heath, force Goucher to take difficult shots and protect their goalie, they can limit Goucher to 4 or 5 goals.
On the other hand, Drew has the offensive ability to score goals in bunches (they are averaging 13 goals per game for the overall season and around 12 goals per game in conference play) and Goucher's game plan must be to not allow that to take place by having good possessions and shot selection on offense which should allow their defense the ability to play strong for all 4 quarters.

Just calling it like I see it.

On another note at least we had an entertaining game with Drew/Goucher going to OT.

I was at the Goucher game. It was good but gophers fell apart in the second half. Stupid mistakes and bad selfish penalties. They were man down for what seemed like an eternity.

Total blow outs except for Goucher this week. I can't remember when the conf was this lopsided when #3 and 4 dont have a chance to upset.with Salsbury and Cabrini playing this Wednesday I would hate to be Catholic and Scranton with them wanting to run up the score for rankings for the NCAA playoffs

Scranton 16 Moravian 5
Matt McAree with 4 goals and an assists, Matt Solleder with 2 goals and 2 assists and Mike Bouhall with a goal and 3 assists led the way for Scranton. Evan Rosa had 12 saves.
Catholic 28 Juniata 6
The Cardinals overwhelmed Juniata leading 24-2 at halftime. Joey Rockovich, Sean Baudo and Nick Fanelli had 4 goals each. Rockovich added an assist.Zach Cosentino netted 3 goals and 2 assists.
Elizabethtown 23 Susquehanna 7
Owen Yake (5,2), Micah Ballew (4,3), Gavin Gismondi (4,2) and Riley Langen (4,1) led the offensive production for the Blue Jays. Defenseman Wes Mills had 9 GBs and 4 caused turnovers. For Susquehanna, Brennan Lorrence had 4 goals and 2 assists.
Drew 12 Goucher 11 OT
Goucher held a 6-2 lead halfway through the third quarter but Drew chipped away and the team went back and forth until Craig Wilkie tied it for the Rangers with two minutes left in the game. Brian Windish scored his third goal of the game in OT as Drew escaped with the win. Mike DeMayo had 4 goals and an assist while Windish and Craig Wilkie each had 3 goals and an assist. For Goucher, Justin Lugo had 17 saves while on offense, Ben Smith had 4 goals and Jared Heath hd 3 goals and 2 assists.
Going into the last weekend of conference play, Catholic has secured the #1 seed. It looks like Elizabethtown will be #2 and Scranton will be #3. The 4th seed should go to the winner of next week's Drew-Susquehanna game.
Two interesting games occur on Wednesday. Scranton will visit #12 Cabrini. Catholic will host #3 Salisbury. Salisbury escaped with a 10-9 overtime win over Cabrini on Friday night.

The #4 seed is still up for grabs.
Drew controls their own destiny in the game at Susquehanna. If they win, the Rangers are in.
However, if Susquehanna wins (and assuming Moravian loses to Catholic), there will be three teams tied at 3-4 and the Landmark tiebreaker process goes into effect.

LANDMARK LACROSSE TIE-BREAKER
In the event two (or more) teams tie in the conference standings, the following procedure shall be used to determine seeding for the championship:

1. Head-to-head record amongst all tied teams in contests that count toward the conference standings (ALL ARE 1-1..ON TO STEP 2)
2. Comparison of tied teams’ records against remaining teams in conference standings in descending order (starting at No. 1) (ALL ARE 2-3..ON TO STEP 3)
3. Goal differential in games played amongst tied teams, with a maximum differential of seven goals per game (BY MY CALCULATION, SUSQUEHANNA MUST NOT ONLY WIN THE GAME BUT MUST DEFEAT DREW BY 6 GOALS TO CLAIM THE #4 SEED)
DREW IS +3 BY BEATING MORAVIAN 11-8
SUSQUEHANNA IS -4 BY LOSING TO MORAVIAN 14-10
MORAVIAN IS +1 BY BEATING SUSQUEHANNA BY 4 AND LOSING TO DREW BY 3
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 6, THEY FINISH +2 AND DREW FINISHES -3 AND MORAVIAN FINISHES +1 SUSQUEHANNA IS THE #4 SEED
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 5, THEY FINISH +1 AND MORAVIAN FINISHES +1 AND IT IS ON TO STEP 4 TIEBREAKER
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 4, THEY FINISH 0, DREW FINISHES -1 AND MORAVIAN GETS THE #4 SEED AT +1
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 3, THEY FINISH -1, DREW FINISHES 0 AND MORAVIAN GET THE #4 SEED AT +1
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 2, THEY FINISH -2, DREW FINISHES +1 TIED WITH MORAVIAN AT +1 AND IT IS ON TO STEP 4
IF SUSQUEHANNA WINS BY 1, THEY FINISH -3, DREW FINISHES AT +2 AND DREW GETS THE #4 SEED
4. Road winning percentage in conference games (only if tied teams played the same number of away conference games)
5. Head-to-head results between and among all tied teams in all regular season contests (only if tied teams played the same amount of contests against other tied teams)
6. Head-to-head record against common non-conference opponents at same site
7. Head-to-head record against common non-conference opponents at different site

8. Coin flip (or similar random action)

Congrats to Owen Yake of Etown for offensive player of the week and Nic Pezzone of Catholic for Def player of the week for the second time.
He will hopefully have 25 saves so they dont loose by to much against Salisbury on Wednesday. Salisbury had a bad last week loosing bad and just winning in OT by one. Looking to beat up on someone for sure.

Commendable efforts from both Scranton and Catholic tonight against two Top 10 programs. Catholic didn't have their best showing, falling 14-8, but keeping the game close with strong D and Pezone making several big saves. Conference closes regular season play on Saturday and we've got conference playoffs next week. At this point I am stilling predicting CUA/Etown final with CUA winning their 2nd straight title.

The Royals played well. Made the Cavs work for it. After being down 6-1, they made it a game.
