i don't believe you know how rpi works.Chousnake wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 1:36 pmAll the metrics point to the Ivy being the top conference this season and it is earned. The comment by Anish is so hypocritical when the RPI of ACC teams shot up year after year, as other posters have pointed out, as the season progressed all based on conference games and the ACC tourney late in the season. In fact, other conferences instituted post season tourneys to counteract the RPI bounce ACC teams were getting for years through the ACC tourney. And a not so good Duke team got a huge bounce in the polls by beating UVA last week and I'm not sure it was deserved with all of DUke's bad losses. And ND will likely get a bounce for beating NC last night despite it being an in-conference game vs an inferior opponent at home.CC10 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:55 pm Its a legit jab. The Ivy's got ranked high in the preseason polls and kept their positions because they played a weak OOC schedule. only good wins were Princeton beating gtown and rutgers and Penn beating a not so good duke team. Meanwhile there have been some bad loses. Brown losing to Umass, Yale losing to Penn State. If Ivy's get 4, RPI is a joke.
The ACC bias lives on and it is getting old and tired and. - this season- completely undeserved.

He's criticizing polls and opinions like Anish's, not RPI.
Re: Ivy League 2022
Brown on a hot streak and fighting for a post-season life at Cornell, with the latter looking to clinch a spot in the ILT. For me, this is the Ivy game of the week.
Princeton can also clinch an ILT spot by winning in Cambridge, Mass.
Playing at home, Dartmouth looks for its first Ivy win in years, which would pretty much kill off any ILT hopes Penn might have.
Just another April Saturday in Ivy League lacrosse.
On Sunday, Yale hosts Albany.

Can't remember seeing a more competitive Ivy League.
Really enjoy watching all the Ivy v Ivy games. Been a treat getting to watch them.

They just keep beating each other.

Yes, assuming Penn beats Dartmouth today (and Penn is up 6-1 early in Q2). In that case, here are all eight remaining scenarios, assuming I have intepreted tie-breaking rules correctly:
Pe>D:
B>D,Y>H,Pr>C: Pr,B,Y,Pe
B>D,Y>H,C>Pr: B,C,Y,H
B>D,H>Y,Pr>C: H,Pr,B,Pe

Re: Ivy League 2022
It’s very possible the Ivy just secured 5 teams to NCAA.

Re: Ivy League 2022
Dartmouth believes. Penn can't win a face-off or pickup a groundball.
Murphy had better make some "mental" adjustments to the Penn team's head at half-time. It was getting a little chippy there at the end of the half.

"There is nothing more difficult and more dangerous to carry through than initiating changes. One makes enemies of those who prospered under the old order, and only lukewarm support from those who would prosper under the new."
Re: Ivy League 2022
Yes, now 7-5 Penn ...
Crap, I don't want to have to redo all my scenarios!

Re: Ivy League 2022
If Cornell loses to Princeton, Cornell will be out of the ILT, and they're going to drop to around 12 or 13 in RPI, and then I think they'll be out of the NCAAs also ...

Good win by Harvard today. Goalie play was a big difference today. Probably Harvard’s best win in a while.
“I wish you would!”
Re: Ivy League 2022
Pe-D now 8-8 late in Q3 ...
Re: Ivy League 2022
I dunno about that. Cornell has an OOC win v. Ohio State, and wins over Yale and Harvard with no bad losses.
Three wins against Tournament teams for Cornell? That's a pretty nice resume, PicLax might have a good point here...we'll see how the tournaments shake out.

Well Penn has recovered ... 15-10 with 4min to play.
Re: Ivy League 2022
How much does Army's loss today hurt Cornell?
Re: Ivy League 2022
Army has fallen to RPI #21, making Cornell's loss to them more of a "bad" loss (according to the ridiculous grouping by fives), if that holds up.

Re: Ivy League 2022
Possible Ivy Honorees this week:
POW:
Dylan Gerger, Penn: 6 points (6,0) versus Dartmouth
Devon McLane, Brown: 5 points (4,1) versus Cornell
Austin Madronic, Harvard: 4 points (3,1) versus Princeton
Kyle Mullin, Harvard: 18 saves (53%) versus Princeton
Matt Brandau, Yale: 7 points (4,3) versus Albany
ROW:
Connor Theriault, Brown: 24 saves (75%) versus Cornell
Sam King, Harvard: 5 points (3,2) versus Princeton
Leo Johnson, Yale: 9 points (5,4) versus Albany
Honor Roll:
Chris Brown, Princeton: 5 points (2,3) versus Harvard
Coulter Mackesy, Princeton: 4 points (4,0) versus Harvard
John Piateli, Cornell: 5 points (5,0) versus Brown
Gavin Adler, Cornell: 6GB, 1CT versus Brown
Colin McGill, Dartmouth, 4 points (4,0) versus Penn
I will add from the Yale/Albany game, but my assumption is that the Ivy POW and ROW will go to in-conference games this week.
