Oh, you said it. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone on TV who is so full of herself with no cause.

The cutters also aren't getting picked up quickly enough. BC is so quick to hit them and quick to get the shot off. For a team as good as BC it's too much time to be open.
Yeah I think they should stick with their man to man. Cuse looks lost trying to cover all the cutters in the middle.

Meh. Crosschecks to the back can be hard to judge in that respect. I do think the BC girl sold the call a bit, but it's also just not a safe play, and beyond that, Swart is a 5th year player, on the field since her freshman year, has played for the US team, was on the Tewey watchlist, is a leader on the field. This was in the first half of a huge game, right after a tough play for Cuse on attack, the play was not going to help Cuse get the ball back, there just was no reason for it. I don't think it was dirty but it was out of control and a little not-too-smart.

Maybe Lady Luck can reach out and help them just
a little bit.
BC always seems to have the luck on their side in tight games versus Syracuse.

Don't want to hear any more about Swart's card after that card to Smith...

She plays hard.
Hmm not sure what you're saying....
I just mean you get the bad sometimes with the good. It all comes from the same heart.
That’s a bit of a reach. This is her fifth year, for goodness sake. I know you’re a Syracuse fan but, come on.
Just reluctant to blame the kid for a momentary lapse.

Charlotte North is a lot more often out of control and shooting wild these days. She used to be money from free position.

Spare me.

SU and BC's last 7 meetings:

2018: 13-12 BC
2019: 14-12 BC, 14-13 BC
2021: 14-13 BC, 16-7 SU, 19-17 SU, 16-10 BC

If you can't see that the closer games normally go in BC's favor in this matchup, you're being willfully ignorant.

Now that’s the Charlotte North we all know and love. Well, except Jersey, there. 🤣

Close wins don’t necessarily equate to lucky wins. Maybe Syracuse was undisciplined in those games, maybe BC was just better, maybe Syracuse was lucky to be that close. Maybe maybe maybe…

I wouldn't be the first person to say, probably not the 100,000th either, that on the path to the NC game you need a little help from Lady Luck on the way. A pipe shot, a flubbed GB right in front of the cage...ball can bounce in any direction, nice when they're coming your way. BC looks beatable and is underperforming, should be up by 8-9-10, up 4 with 13:00 to go.
